Default Finally....6 second 1/8 mile pass

Last week we went a 10.80@129 in the 1/4 with a 7.02@106 in the 1/8.

Tonight we were at the 1/4 mile track and faught gremilins. Our best pass missed 4th gear and we didnt make any more to speak of before the rain hit.

60ft.... 1.60
330ft...4.51
1/8......6.88
mph.....100.98
coasted to a 11.56@90.03

Shift into 4th right before the 1/8 mile, sucks. Feel like it was a total wasted day. Rich Christianson from pinks was there doing some bs, took alot of our time up.

Went to go get a fresh bottle and the rain moved in.

Was your car the silver one on z06 wheels and ccw skinnies?

I saw the last pass you made, wish i would have hit the record button on the camera i was holding.

edit...nevermind, just found a video...it was you.

I really think it'll run some 6.70's with a fresh bottle and some tires that will stick. Wheel hop has become an issue with the first to second shifts now. I'll have a full set of 16" wheels and some fresh 255/50 drag radials to boot this weekend. The softer sidewall should help with that hopefully.

I think we are going to run the stock axles till one gives out. 70 hard passes and they are still holding strong. Have any pictures of the driveshaft?

I saw you run N/A at Ennis a while back, I was in the pewter frc. You're still on the stock clutch, right? Did you miss 4th because it's sticking? Nice pass, Chris

Still on the same stock clutch, I still can't believe it either. I think that's the biggest reason the axles are still alive. We've yet to make a full 100% perfect pass in the car with the latest setup.
I have plans on changing the heads, I just wanna see how fast we can go like this. After seeing the 6.88 pass at only 100 and the pass before last week at 106, I'm pretty confident it run in the 10.40 range when we do make a perfect pass.

With that M6 I doubt you will ever get a perfect pass, just because of consistency issues. I was a doubter at first on new SS, but man for really no more then you car has done to it. Its moving. Congrats.

congrats

I thought the clutch was giving you some issues last time we talked?

We finally lost the stock clutch on the first pass when using the 2 step this Sunday. The extra power and the track having teeth did not agree.

It's like a woman, it gets hot and slippery but when it cools off it's perfect.
