Default 2010 Camaro SS MT into the 8's

The Lingenfelter LS9 powered 2010 Camaro SS made it into the 8's today at MIR.

Attached is a copy of the time slip. We were in the right lane. 8.997 at 158.80 mph.

I will post more vehicle details including a dyno graph later.

Here are the modifcations to the car (sorry for the formatting - the formatting wasn't retained when I pasted it in):

Lingenfelter LS9 2010 Camaro SS drag car specifications (as of 21 November 2010)
• Engine
o 377 CID/6.2L LS9 engine
 8.5:1 compression ratio with forged JE pistons
 Production GM LS9 crankshaft and titanium connecting rods
 LPE CNC ported LS9 cylinder heads with OEM titanium intake valves and sodium filled hollow stem exhaust valves
 Lingenfelter GT9 supercharger camshaft
 Comp Cams 26918 valve springs
o GM LS9 Eaton TVS2300 supercharger
o Lingenfelter custom fabricated double stacked LS9 intercooler upper manifold
o LS9 Corvette accessory drive
o LS9 dry sump oiling system with custom front mounted dry sump tank
o Lingenfelter LS9 14% overdrive damper kit
o Lingenfelter high-flow LS9 supercharger front cover
 ported to accept 102 mm throttle body
o 102 mm billet throttle body
o Lingenfelter 2.38” supercharger pulley
o Lingenfelter 160 thermostat
o American Racing 2” primary headers
• Two stage dry nitrous system with progressive nitrous controller
o Lingenfelter RPM-002 switch used as nitrous window switch
o Accelerator pedal mounted WOT switch for nitrous enable
o Nitrous solenoid capable of flowing 450 hp of nitrous
• Lingenfelter Camaro SS twin pump fuel system, mechanical regulator version
o 20 volt Dual Boost-A-Pump fuel pump voltage booster
o Vacuum/boost referenced Weldon fuel pressure regulator

• Functioning (and stock) radio
• Functioning (and stock) air conditioning
• 2400 rpm launch setting on 2-step
• 1st stage of nitrous triggered at roughly 4000 rpm in 1st gear
• Best quarter mile to date:
o 8.997 seconds at 158.80 mph (21 November 2010 at MIR)
o 1.384 60’ time (best 60’ to date of 1.377 seconds)
o Jon Ebert driver

Default VBox acceleration data from 8 second pass

Here is a graph of the speed versus time from our on board VBox III GPS based data logger.

The dips in the acceleration are the shifts.

Default Chassis dyno graph from Lingenfelter 8 second Camaro SS

Here is the chassis dyno graph from the Lingenfelter LS9 Camaro.

This is with both stages of nitrous active.

The nitrous comes in a little after 3800 RPM.

1328 lb-ft and 1243 hp.

It was nice meeting you guys yesterday, (I had the gutted green 4th gen), if you ever wanted to put this setup in a 3000lb 4th gen Id be willing to try it for you

That's badass guys! As a long time Lingenfelter customer and torch carrier for the ol' LT1 platform, I think I now want a 5th gen! Thanks for forging ahead and running 8s with A/C. I know John's looking down and smiling at what you guys have accomplished...
