No way in hell should mustang owners be scared! First off not to many of you have ever even driven 05'+ mustang! I have 07 5=speed stock! Best i ran in it 13.67. So how the hell is that slow? With Cold air and tune!! 13.20! so i dont see how you guys rag on the stang so bad. Then put force induction an see what happens. And why the hell are you talking **** about stock cars anyway and true horsepower junkies don't keep it stock anyways! Stangs are made for Force induction and Chevys are designed for N/a. Mod race um' then talk trash!! ...oh and by the way.....why the new camaro look just like the challengers!!

It'll be interesting nonetheless to have all three cars (Challenger, Camaro, and Mustang) all on the streets once again like the old days. Track days will definitely be fun regardless of what style of racing is going on. Lastly, I tip my hat off to some of those guys on that Mustang forum for acting like true car enthusiasts rather than someone stuck with sand inside their vagina. I hate it when people start bringing mods into a conversation that starts off comparing stock vs stock. It's like as if they fail to realize that anybody can be faster than another person with the right amount of money.

I Dont wanna sound like a ford Fanboy cause I originally drove GM 1997 formula and then 2002 z28! So i know GM got some muscle !! But Ford not that far behind!

I have raced and built Mustangs for years. I had the first 2005 Mustang in the nines. I now have a Nova, 2 Camaro's and a 2010 that will be here soon.
I don't like the Mod motor, never have. Small bore, long stroke and too many limitations because of the design and package.
I enjoyed my 2005 with a Paxton Supercharged pushrod engine.
When I was given the opportunity to jump to the LS engines I did. I have never been happier. Now with the 2010 Camaro and all the possibilities I am pleased that I made the switch.
Good luck with your car.

What I find comical about the Mustang lovers is why do they believe the GT's are fast? I had a 07 G35 Infiniti as a DD until recently and that car would simply walk a late model GT Mustang. I wasn't even close off the line. I've owned Mustangs in the past (5.0) and these modular motors seem to stink unless you put a power adder on them. Love the Shelby GT 500's but they're not so great either from what I've seen.

A 2005 what?
Muh god........were you racing a Pony packaged V6 or something? Only reason for a 3V GT to get walked by a G35 is A) The Mustang driver is a retard or B) he wasn't really racing. I'm sorry, I've done this race riding with my bud in his 06 GT and it wasn't anything like your experience. If your G35 could walk a current GT that bad, then it must be as fast or faster than an LS1 F-bod. Good luck convincing your brethren of that.

Guy on another forum I'm on had a bolt-ons G35 for a few years, never seemed like it was THAT fast. Recently traded it on a new STI.
Funny, at the Philly auto show this weekend, the new Camaro seemed to be only getting attention from the old timers reminiscing on the old days and from fan boys, no one else seemed to be all that impressed. I think alot of people are sick of the car already from all the over hype. The G8 GXP was barely getting any attention too, no one seemed to care, or really differentiate it from the GT. Challenger was still mobbed with people.
I'll be interested to see what new engines the new Stang will end up getting because the Mustang guys really won't have anything to be scared of. Out of the box the Camaro isn't really going to hold any advantages. And seeing the Camaro interior in person, wow. Gotta be one of the worst new car interiors out there. Terrible ergonomics, cheap materials. Naturally all the fans will disagree but from an unbiased viewpoint it's pretty terrible.

Ok guys really, are we argue'n over the classic ford vs gm **** again. The new camaro is going to be a beast no hands down, and then when ford decides the time is right the new motor will be put into the gt. All and all its just a piece of metal designed by different people with more metal powering the car. So let's all shake hands and have a group hug!
