Just like anything else, the new camaro will drive prices down on the last generation camaro.

If you were going to get a Mustang would you be willing to pay more for a used one since the newest 05's started to come out?

Or would you rather just get a newer one.

i think that the younger crowd will learn of the power and potential
of an lsx, and wont be in the new car level, and will turn to 4th gen
f bodys, to get into the seat behind an lsx

The Firebird's resale always seems to be better since Pontiac didn't roll that many out the door in Canada.

It might have something to do with women not buying them or the extra 2k dollars for an in cab air filter...

Welcome to "third-gen" prices, fourth gen owners!

Honestly, the cheaper they get, the more I can pick up and have fun with. You folks shouldn't complain, you knew it was coming sooner or later.

Hmmm, I wonder what type of hair-cut 4th geners will start to wear now.

The Corvette posers have already begun to ruin the C5 scene like they did to the C4 scene.

4th gen prices could end up like 03/04 cobra prices in relation to the gt500. the gt500 is really subpar to the 03/04 cobra, and before it came out the cobra prices were down to 21k/22k and now the gt500 isnt what it was all cracked up to be cobra prices jumped back to 24k/25k

I'm with ReedBooth, the cheaper LS1s get the happier I'll be. I'm currently in college and can't even afford to insure my LT1. So in a few years if the LS1s drop enough for me to get ahold of one and build my dream LSX that'll be fine with me.

Ummm.....who? And what for? By the way, I'd say South Florida is one of the hottest Ford spots on Earth...hell we have a Stang vs Vette thing at the track all the time and many Mustang clubs, as opposed to f body clubs, so yeah I am around them all the time...

And Cobras?!! Hell they fetch alot coin!!!! Doesnt matter what year cobras hold alot of value!
Only 03-04's man....and you cannot deny that....who the HELL wants to spend any kind of money on a pre 03 Cobra that makes pisspoor power n/a???
NO ONE cept HARDCORE Stang enthusiats (i guess the same who will spend ALOT on a "nice" fox body)...

C mon...

Buy a car because you LOVE it...no other reason...

Do you honestly think that half the people in the 60's and 70's had even a remote idea that the cars they saw and drove on a daily basis were in 30-40 years going to be worth potential millions, if not hundreds or tens of thousands..NO they didn't....if they saw that coming you'd see a lot more muscle cars in plastic bubbles that were never driven popping up and not rotting in PA fields...

Again, buy a car because you love it...period

The only cars I've found that gained value were the ones I sold. I would question anyone buying a New Chevrolet as an investment. Many of the old Chevrolets have an inflated value. Generally you buy a car, one over the other, because of the your needs. Even if want to go fast. More than likely someone else has one similar to yours thats faster.

They will be pricey like all new models when they come out...willing to bet if we do see a decrease in f-body price that the normal everyday joe wouldnt see it for several years after the 09 model came out.

Prices will drop and drop fast. The prices will have dropped even if there was no new camaro because last will be at least 7 years old.
