i really dont see how its a "HUGE" dissapointment. I mean what did you guys expect it seems to be right on the ball with what i thought. I mean come on you guys should have known it was going to be heavier and really its only about 350 lbs. heavier. What motor did you think they were going to put in it, it was so obvious it was going to be a ls3 you would have to be stupid to think it wouldnt be the motor that would find its way into the SS.

You guys keep looking at these cars like they are a pure drag car, i dont think to the average person thats on their mind. I mean they have to make the camaro a full independent suspesion, all the electronics, full the air bags and such. They would be silly not to.

Mustangs are like potato chips...everybody eats them..nothing special about them ... they are just part of the automotive food chain..I've been munchin on them since they hit the streets in 1964...bring on your new mustang and watch a 8 year old f body make a snack out of it too... I hope they do put some more HP under the hood to make it more interesting because the current version is down right slooooow.

From 5 years of posts I have seen on this car, seems like most people were expecting 450+HP for 30k..that's what my opinion is about it..Since the GTO got 400 in 05, you would think GM would have upped the ante 5 years later..JMO..It was just to much hype for 422hp or whatever it is, Plus still no price?? I would guess they don't want you to go buy a mustang or something else when they announce the camaro is going to set you back 35k, and where the hell is Mr. Camaro(fbodfather) can't he give us some prices??

450+ hp haha yea right. I mean come on what you think they are going to put more power in the camaro then in the corvette. Thats just stupid, they already have the ls3, its there new powerplant, they're not going to come out with a whole new engine just for the camaro that would just be stupid.

To be blut there has been a lot of bull sh*t in this thread. I love the guys going oh the vette runs 11's stock. Well yea it "has" doesnt mean its the norm. Prolly the dumbest arguement i have seen its like saying the 4th gen camaro is a mid 12 second car. Sure has it run that bone stock yea. but thats not the norm. You guys do relize that the DA you race at, track prep, and skill are all factors in what you run.

Just becuase there have been some guys that run faster then the norm doesnt make it the new offical time for the car. By this thinking we should call the 4th gen SS a 14 second car because i have seen plenty run that time.

I thought it was stupid personally, but a lot of people on here don't think so...The goal is for the car to sell, I sure hope the V6's carry the load

My main complaint is that the IRS should be optional. I like the idea of simplicity when it comes to a Camaro.
I suppose GM is serious about the v6 going up against cars like the 350Z and up and coming 370Z. Anyone see its compression? 11.3:1 Thats crazy.

Direct injection always has a higher compression ratio..

I don't see what the argument is. Everyone knows its gonna do better than 13.4.

Mark my words, consistant high 12s once they hit the streets, bone stock. I bet some freaks with a good driver might almost get mid 12's.

Just wait till people get some dr's and bolt ons.....

Nobody posted that the Vettes run 11s stock or mid 12s for stock 4th gens..I posted 12.90s @ 109 which is a far cry from mid 12's ... maybe a reading comprehinsion cass will help your retain what you read...or maybe you just naturally always exaggerate..

I'm really curious what kinda bolt on's it'll take to hit 11's. It's got a lot of great potential imo. I wonder if back when the ls1 came out if some lt1 and mustang people where giving it as much ****...wouldn't be surprised...

sorry that was from another thread on this site talking about the performance of the 5th gen. Some of the same people posting in the thread were in that one as well, just got the two mixed up. So no i dont exagerate.

Sorry i guess cocky would be the wrong word for it, optimistic would be a better term.

and yes i hate to say it but half the stuff that goes on in this site members and sponsers a like is just a load of bull sh*t.

There are a few that have intelligent things to say, but unfortunately they dont post much or they just got banned for saying the truth.

Sorry for the rant just my 2 cents
