Default My F-Body story

Well you won't believe me but I bought this car ysturday at 230 and at 4 o'clock I called the dealer and told them to come get there car, the pulley that makes all the other pulleys spin(power steering altenator and cooling) came right off the LS1 so I took it back and got my money, I am so disappoint and sadden and a lil discouraged to buy another F-body.

I put 20 miles on it and it was the best 20 miles I have every driven I usaully speed in my grand AM but in the firebird I didn't even want to I am just really disappointed I think I may look at mustangs now and I am not a ford guy.

OH and when it all came off I was doing 45 miles and hour in a two lane road and also hit a school bus(short bus) I E-Braked the **** out of it and went side ways to not hit the bus. I got my check back.

Sounds to me like you just had a little bad luck. I don`t see the reason to not buy another f-body though.

Yeah, I dont think you can fault all f-bodies for that, especially when you are buying a 10ish year old car that is used. ANY car can get screwed if an idiot has it before you do.

Don't get discouraged because of one bad apple. I had a bad one before but that didn't keep me from buying the one I have now.

You will forever regret buying a mustang over and F-body, unless you arer buying an 03/04 cobra. On your next one, request that you be able to drive it around for a day before you buy it.

i guess i dont understand why you had to e-brake it and go sideways because the pully came off?...or why that caused you to almost hit a short bus...but dont buy a mustang because you bought a used car that broke...thats just rediculous...test drive the car...and have a mechanic check the car out before you buy it...

I hit the brakes and I couldnt get enough stop power so I ripped the E I didn't want to car going sideways but I couldn't stop it from doing that I ended up like 5 feet from the bus.

At least no one got hurt. **** happens with cars, I wouldn't let one bad experience stop you from getting the car you want.

parking brakes arnt ment to be used as stopping brakes! and next time do more research on the car, if it was a dealership it should have had a UVI done to it.

the "emergency" in e-brake is for if your car comes out of gear while parked it won't start rolling away. Its not a "in case of emergency" brake. Your ABS will stop you way faster and safer.

don't buy a mustang, peter pan drove a mustang...

Well, that sucks ***.

That was just shity luck. This had to look pretty rough, since the balancer came appart at a high RPM.

If it was me, I would just make the stealership fix everything that boke instead of returning the car.

But, I understand why you would want your money back.

**** happens. . . . . . . . .

i just scrapped enough money together and made my 16th payment on my Trans Am. its tough for me to do every month, but it repays me by being an awesome car. the only problem ive had with it was the VATS system which cost like 300 bucks to fix. 300 bux in 16 months is pretty damn good to me. not counting regular maintenance of course.
