I've never done a burnout in my SS. I have owned it for a year and a half.

ive only done a few burn outs in my 00 ws6 but i have bfg's on the back and man do they make alot of smoke. the fastest ive been in mine was 150 and it was on a high way and the funny thing was that i had the t-tops off, man was that a bad idea.

I've only driven my car roughly 25 miles since I bought it a couple months back (bout to pull the STS off and go N/A stroker) but in that few miles I hit 145 on I-12 between my exits (only about 3/4 mile apart) and I spun em around almost every corner.

But regardless of what I'm driving, I don't normally do burnouts, just spin em around corners and off the start. I'd rather me moving and spinning them than sitting still and spinning them.

I don't really burnout on the street much, which is probably why my Nittos have lasted me over two years including multiple track rentals and other visits to the track. Even when I race on the street, I only heat them up if I know it's gonna be a close race and I need to launch well (not to mention I have the opportunity to do so), which is not often.

I do take it up to the top of fifth on rare occassions, which is 140 or so with my gearing and trans. I had my ex with me the other night and knew the fastest she'd ever gone was about 120 (in my car), so I brought it up to 140 and she was like, "HOLY ****!!!". Afterwards she proceeded to tell me how much fun it was, whereas when we were dating and I would go WOT she'd just get pissed and say that I didn't care about killing us. Funny how they change AFTER you stop dating them and the stuff you do that pissed them off is now considered fun...

I almost started crying reading this.

I do varying degrees of burnouts damn near every time I drive it. That's all it's made for. Of course I do burnouts in my Lincoln Towncar, too. And everything else I've ever driven.

I'm Larry, and I'm a speedfreakburnoutretardaholic.

First thing I did when I test drove the car was a small burnout and 1st to 2nd run. Usually, I don't do too many burnouts or WOT runs, did alot more in the dumdumdumdumdum. I'd say once a month or so.

My car couldn't peel out on a sheet of ice, , so no burnouts here. But really, when it was bone stock I did one, and got some wheel hop and got paranoid about the 10 bolt, so I only do a quick spin of them at the track and on the street is the "rolling punch", especially since I'm rocking a factory clutch. (soon to be replaced with a Textralia.) If I had a A4 I might be doing a few more, but no point IMO of grinding off your tires into piles of dust.

No point in spending $1000 to go half a second faster in a 1/4 mile, either. I'm just sayin'.

Sure is fun, though.

These cars aren't meant to be practical, they're mostly meant for fun. Burning the tires off is fun. Going fast is fun.

I have my times that i get a little throttle happy and mark up my turf. Always puts a smile on my face but i try to avoid doing it despite all the temptation of having 4.10's on the a4.... flash the verter and spin em!

Fastest I've EVER driven was 170ish in my friend's porsche. The fastest in my F-Body was 145 racing.
