I did a burnout the first time in the car on the test drive. The dealer thought he could trust his car to a 49 year old dad with his 15 year old son.
My son was talking about Evos and Hondas until I had to school his *** with the TA.
I still burnout every chance I get. I do it from a roll in 1st or 2nd. God! Are these cars fun!

For top end: I've layed the speedo on the 160 pin once in the black 02 just to see if it could with 3.90's. Definately made it in 5th at around 6k if i remember right. As for burnouts, there is really no point. I did it once on the street, and went completely sideways while in it. I would have to do one in a parking lot to be able to stay in it. The track however, is where it is necessary. If your car has real bawlz, you get excitement by taking off in first, not getting any traction whatsoever and going completely sideways, shifting it hard to second, watch your tach fly up the rpm's to the shift point again while going sideways the other way roasting them off not getting any traction whatsoever, shifting hard to third, spinning some more while straightening out your car, finally catching some traction and flying, shift it hard to fourth, ride it, and then get out of it. Sorry, but sitting there spinning the tires doesn't exactly get me going. Again, this would never be a normal occourance for me, only with the right females are in the car.

I almost started crying reading this.
I do varying degrees of burnouts damn near every time I drive it. That's all it's made for. Of course I do burnouts in my Lincoln Towncar, too. And everything else I've ever driven.

As for smoking burnouts, I still haven't done one since I got the car. I have no trouble getting sideways in all of 1st and 2nd gear and I've done that a good 10 – 12 times this year. Frankly, with over 540+ rwhp on a M6 with a stock 10 bolt (plus 3.90 gears) I've been trying to limit the shock to the rear end as best as possible. Once I have the 9" sitting in at the shop, I'll go ahead and let it rip.

Har, Toyota is the Chevy of Japan, they don't have the best interiors but they sure as hell got the best motors. If you want to talk about burnout failure I have one car for you. Honda CRX HF.

My friend has one, and he always eggs me on to burnout, so now it was his turn. He told me it woulden't do one. I said bullshit just dump the clutch, he said it still won't. Then I said prove it. He revved it high, dumped the clutch, and absolutly NOTHING. Not even a chirp hahaha

Ive put about 4,000 miles on my car and do my share of short burnouts. Not john force style. When I bought the car it had brand new goodyear (whatever they are) stockers. When I pulled them off to take out the rearend there was little noticeable wear from front to back. I was suprised. But now I need to get those hoosiers mounted.

hmmmm, ive done over 140 a couple of times at about 2 am on the freeway.... car seemed to get up to speed easily being close to stock too...
i have even done 130 in my maxima
i just lit them up about 1 day ago ( revved the car to 3K rpm and dropped the clutch lol) but never actually broke the speed limit due to my car not moving....
