Oh you named my nightmare SIC LSX. I hated my Kumho's wet or dry. Switched to a cheaper General UHP tire (for the fall and spring) and the difference is night and day in both conditions.

Its all in the tires. I would reccomend Eagle F1 All Season tires.
I daily drove a 1le with 19" wheels and 245/30/zr19 tires that had a compound specifically for dry warm weather. I drove it all winter and after getting stuck in 1/2" of snow all the time and running red lights and stop signs on hills, i ended up selling the car, and buying another f-body but with all season tires, i realized then that it wasnt the car, it was the tires. Now, driving my Ws6 in the rain is a breeze. Those Eagle F1's hook up just about as good in the rain or cold as they do in the dry. Good on the track too.

When I was bringing my car home from buying it in Houston we got caught in a horrible downpour (so bad that my friend's car ended up spinning and going into the median). As everyone else has said just keep your foot out of it and be aware of everything around you (so you don't have to brake overly hard or try to mash the gas to get out of the way of something) and you shouldn't have much trouble at all. I've driven in heavy rain on drag radials (not in my f-body, but in another RWD car) with no issues either.

I've never had a problem in the rain, even in downpours at 75+MPH.

Same here. As long as you have good tires, driving an F-body is no different than driving and other car in the rain. I've never had a problem on either my Eagle F1 GS-D3's or my Nitto 555's. Obviously you can't accelerate, turn, or stop as fast, thats a given in any car under wet conditions though.

I guess it is my tires, because my car sucks in the rain. I do have 235's though. I drive extra slow when its raining and when im turning, usually at intersections, frequently my back end just keeps going and i get a little sideways and just drift through the intersection which sucks when you don't want to or don't plan to. I don't fly around turns by any means when its dry, just go normally. When its wet i go twice as slow and it still happens. I need some decent wider tires but i'm broke.

I guess the firestone firehawks that the dealer put on my car before i got it makes a difference because i've never had any problems in the rain besides the steep uphill start i have to take to leave my parking lot of work but i only get slight spin and than it goes. i slip the clutch with as little gas i can.
ive got those on my z and they ******* suck *** in the rain. im all over the ******* road(unintentionaly of course) as a result of no traction. im an a4 btw and im extremely cautious and drive slower than a turtle when driving in rainy conditions or the road is wet.

I've had to drive my car in the rain maybe 3 times. Each time I could hear Vin Diesel's voice giving me **** for granny shifting. Nice and slow, giving others a decent amount of space.

I don't worry about myself, the people around here can't drive in rain, snow, fog, bright sunlight, etc, etc.

agreed get some better tires and get used to the car, my method for rain driving is redline it, sidestep the clutch
