This a non issue as the fuel pump is actually in a bucket that stays full of fuel at all times.

My cam only bolt on M6 usually got 18ish in mostly city driving and mid to high 20s on the highway. I got on it quite a bit.

Actually, I think my floater and or pump must be messed up because even when I used to let the pump fill up automatically till it turns off on its own, the gauge never read Full. It would always seem 1/8 below Full.

What he said, I'm in the process of replacing the fuel pump right now, and it was the first time I ran it low on gas : (

I get about 200 miles to a tank of gas around Atlanta. Of course, the car does much better than that if it's all highway miles with the cruise control on. I'm sure the h/c/i/etc. all contribute to reducing my fuel efficiency.

If I want to feel good about getting 20+ mpg, I just hop in the Grand Am. I don't drive the Grand Am that often! HAHA!

I get 18-19 mpg driving 75 HIGHWAY miles a day, it gets beat on somewhat but not too bad. I have thought I had an O2 problem swince everything else is new but they are switching normally. After reading all of this I dont feel so bad, I have a 98 T/A with 04 LS6 cam, LS6 intake, slp long lubes and an a4 with 3.23's.

346 A4 car.
Stock 25 hiway,21 city.

Mods in sig:
21-22 hiway
14-15 city.

I thrashed it two weeks ago logging KR and did a couple 135mph pulls and got almost 9mpg. 90% city except the WOT pulls. 135miles that tank really surprised me. Won't do it again

Just gonna get the car out tomorrow and enjoy this $225 premium while I can

You have something wrong with your car, I've got the same in my car minus heads and I get 25+. Unless you've got your foot through the floor board all the time.

This thread confirms the elegance of the LS1 design:

Gas miser with the cruise control engaged.

Thirsty sow when when you recline the throttle to the horizontal postion.

I can routinely squeeze out 17-18 mpg on the hwy with my TA. It's an auto with 3.73 gears. Around town it sucks.

I get 300-330, 350 a couple of times with bolt ons. A friend of mine has a stock 01 SS that went 414 on a tank and the car just broke 12.9.
