Default Does anyone else think the stock 16" wheels on T/A are hideous

ive been kinda disapointed with my 02 T/A i look at everyone elses and theres just looks so much nicer than mine and ive come to the conclusion last night i think it's the small wheels it just makes it look not as "tough" looking....so im thinking bout throwing sum 18" ruff 278 on it......anyone else agree with me

There is nothing that makes a car like a nice set of wheels.

i dont think the wheels are ugly i just think the size of them makes it look like there is just not enough wheel there....to much space if you know what i mean

I agree, the stock wheels are just so small and boring. A new set of 18's will completely change the look of the car.

gotcha.

btw, some folks will lower the car to bring it closer to the wheel and close that gap, instead of, or in combination with, larger wheels.

find some cars you like the looks of and find out what their owners did to them, wheels/suspension-wise. and don't forget whatever you change will affect how it drives, also!

(On my own TA I put on 17" 275's in front and 315's in back, and it made a HUGE positive difference in appearance.)

Theres nothing wrong w/ them, there just not flashy. They look alot better then a few 4th gen wheels that come to mind.

The stock 16" in chrome is a good looking rim. The 17" WS6 rims are just perfect period. I hate most aftermarket wheels-I think most aftermarket wheels can really be hideous. Also, as far as I'm concerned anything bigger than 18" doesn't belong on these cars...

one of the first 4th gens i knew about had those wheels on it and it sounded badass to me as a teenager. i thought that car was pimp. it looked almost identical to the one in the picture, except it was black. i think that somehow fueled me wanting to go fast 15 years later.

The stockers for the T/A look just about as bad as the stocker (snowflakes) on some Z 28's out there. Those just make me wonder what the design department was doing on the weekends. Oh and ps: The old man has a set of those twisties in the garage with the stock tires on them...plus a set of the '98 T/A wheels, along with two sets of ZR1's right beside them. Guess you could say he collects hardly valuable things.
