Default Well question on next mods

well in about 3 1/2 months i will be going to pinks allout in dallas not that far away from my home town, anyway im on a budget and looking to do the most mods i can before i go.
my question is should i try to do a stall,T cooler, cam, springs, pushrods, tune before then? or should i try and do a stall, T cooler, ls6 intake, tune?
or what do you suggest?
im not looking to win the thing but i would like to go run a decent time.
just wondering what is the cheapest best way to put down a time.

I'm not sure how fast you are looking to run but the stall, cam, etc should get you into the high 11's. Maybe you could post up a budget?

you wont get half that done with only 1000. cam and supporting mods with tune will run you that. then stall is a couple hundred. I'd do what the guy above said, just throw a 150 wet shot on there.

If you are just looking at getting the most for your dollar on the track then nitrous is the way to go. You could get a complete kit with all the goodies (bottle warmer, window switch, purge kit, etc) for less than $1000. If you have some left over then try and pick up a used ls6 intake for about $300.
If nitrous isn't your thing then you could get a stall with tranny cooler and shift kit for right around $1000.

hmmm well i got the cooler, mabe a nitrous set up,and stall and tune? just a little over 1000,i can work a little overtime. a little because it s rare. but im on a stock tranny, how much abuse would a 100 shot do to my tranny?i still got to drive it home...

It should be ok but you never know. With a window switch you could cut the nitrous off right before the shift (5800-5900rpms) and have it come back on right after the shift.

Anyone know what the cutoff normally is? I'm planning on going in Indy and was just curious.
