i have a 98 z28 and it is about to be getting some long-tube headers. i'm thinking i want to go with 3" dual exhaust all the way back to about where the stock Y pipe comes together and putting a dual in dual out magnaflow muffler on it and then turn downs, the turn downs will end up being right in front of the rearend. i know i'm doing a magnaflow either way, i just want some opinions on what you guys think would give me the most power. oh yeah, and the cats are coming off and its getting tuned for it.

how big is that muffler??? room is at a premium there, bullets are hard to fit.

i dont know what muffler you are talking about but i dont see a dual in dual out muffler fitting there. A couple of friends had custom duals with an xpipe into 2 magnaflow 4x9's dumped at the axle. Both sounded real good, werent real loud but definitely had some drone at highway speeds but really all dumped setups do. had decent clearence especially for those mufflers only scraped on big *** bumps and if the car was loaded down.

the muffler has 3" inlets and outlets. it is a 5 by 8 oval and its 18 inches long. it should fit but its gonna be tight.

clearance is gonna be bad.

the magnaflow 4x9s are even low...

do some searches for my exhaust setup...3" X pipe, dual 4x9 mfs dumped.

lt's and magnaflow is definately what i want but i'm not sure of anything between them. an X-pipe is definately an option. i'm trying to decide which setup will give me the most power without getting too many tickets.

i would go with the 4x9s its not stupid loud unless you get on it, but im in indiana they dont really seem to care about anything here, tint, loud, emissions, nothing...

^^^^lucky. here is louisiana they are pretty easy as long as you aren't doing anything stupid. hell i was riding next to a cop on the interstate today and my car is LOUD. i doubt he even looked my way.

thats probably about the same then, ya if i took off hard or was dicking around they would be all over me here. I run my coutout open all the time and never even got a second look

well i live in arkansas and they don't really bother ya unless you look rather shady, luckily i dont. lol. i have had a friend that has been pulled over for exhaust but he was dicking around. thanks for your opinions.
