Question

i don't know much about springs but on PAC's website they have 1298's on sale for $199, whats up w those, any good...i noticed their...

OD: 1.625"
250 lbs @ 2.000"
648 lbs @ 1.300"
Lift: .700"

the 1218's:
OD: 1.290"
130 lbs @ 1.800"
318 lbs @ 1.200"
Lift: 0.600"

if 1218's are the way to go then whats $15 i was just wondering anyhow. Also are the PAC 1218's WAY better than LS6 springs?

patriot duals are pretty good, but they are a little pricey and probably not necessary for you.

WAAAAAY too much spring and not even an LS1 spring.

You basically wanna go with the least amount of spring that will still provide adequate valvetrain control. You will get much longer lifter life and it is easier on the whole valvetrain (seats, cam etc...) Not to mention quieter.. In this case a good beehive will work nicely and not add the unnecassary valvetrain weight of a dual.

Is the 535 lift an XE lobe? I would look at Thunder Racings 224/224 with a 564lift (IIRC). They will still work well with the 1218's and you will pick up a little power with their lobes IMO.

No idea, im just buying the cam off a guy on here. I guess i could ask him. The #'s on the back of the cam are 3753/3753HR12-2 and CC N8948 on the bottom half of the cam circle, idk if i can look it up that way or not.

That little of lift if its on XER lobes you could definately use LS6 springs and save a lot of cash, you can pick up a set for around $50.00

Thats cool, my boy actually 'gave' me a non-ram air hood like 2 years ago cause i hit a ****** deer so im sure he'll let these springs go for monopoly money cause he said he didnt need them cause he was going a different route.

+1 i'm kinda partial to comp. but i did here they had a recall on some 918's a while back, not quite sure how long ago. but if you get some used ones, you should make sure that they weren't the ones that were to be recalled.
