Thumbs up Switched to Progressive-Saved 150/mo!

Hey everyone. I was bored tonight and thought i'd do a little shopping around for car insurance. I was previously insured with Farmers. In the past 3 years ive gotten a speeding ticket and made a claim for a big scratch in my car. I'm 22 and was paying $290.00 a month (full/best coverage offered).

So just for the heck of it looked into progressive.

BODILY INJURY & PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY $324.00
BI $250,000 EACH PERSON - $500,000 EACH ACCIDENT
PROPERTY DAMAGE LIABILITY - $100,000 EACH ACCIDENT
COMPREHENSIVE ACV LESS $500 DEDUCTIBLE $176.00
$0 DEDUCTIBLE FOR WINDOW GLASS
COLLISION ACV LESS $500 DEDUCTIBLE $320.00
UNINSURED/UNDERINSURED MOTORIST $22.00
$250,000 EACH PERSON - $500,000 EACH ACCIDENT
PERSONAL INJURY PROTECTION $40,000 TOTAL $76.00
$20,000 MEDICAL LOSS $20,000 ECONOMIC LOSS
NO DEDUCTIBLE NO STACKING

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Premium by Vehicle $918.00
Theft Prevention Surcharge $0.50
Total Policy Premium $918.50

$918.00 for 6 months = 153.00 a month!

Im kicking myself for not shopping around sooner.

Wow, that's awesome. I'm with Allstate right now paying 250 for full coverage. Think I can get the same deal? I have a clean record too

AIG started bumping peoples premiums up something outrageous, so my agent switched me to Progressive. I was paying near $200 and got bumped up to $230 with AIG. My premium dropped to $160 with Progressive for the same full coverage plan.

I've got some scars on my record and I'm 21, so it's not too bad.

Progressive sucks donkey *****. I am trying to get them to fully cover my car right now from a hit & run. Then I wiil change companies even if I have to pay a little more for the pleasure of saying "So long C#ck suckers Cliffsnotes here we go...Hit & run in parking lot.

All used parts(my fault shoulda read contract better). Sucks though

Won't cover some of the damage because the say it was "likely" already there and "improbable" it happened in the accident. This with the SAME color fresh paint in the scratch that matches the main damage. You can scratch it off with your fingernail it is so fresh. I was nice but I showed them some pics on my computer of cars through the roofs of houses and stuck in power lines suspended above ground to make my point that because something
is "improbable and not "likely to happen it still can and does everday. So I call the adjustor's supervisor and plead my case with him and after words got heated (no profanity) he calls me a LIAR right over the phone never having seen the car, just a few pics Obviously not gonna be covered. so next.....

They(Progressive) say LQK about 70 miles away has the front bumper cover/DS fender I need. Bodyshop calls up there and the fender is sold and they never had the BC. They had a record of Progressive calling and they did qoute them prices it would have cost but the BC was NEVER in stock. More bullshit. They can get one for me but both pieces will take a few days and are in other states. So.... I get to pay the extra shipping because when I call the adjustor back he claims I talked to the wrong guy and the BC is there. So I make another call to LKQ and so does the body shop and are again told the nearest BC is in Va. What liars and BS

Having wanted new parts anyway and with me having to eat the extra shipping costs I decided to go GM for a total of about $350 more.

After all this I wanna give that annoying little Progressive bitch on TV a good hard one with my manhood up the Hershey Highway. Bet she wouldn't be smiling then

You have to have been in the military or a relative to even qualify for USAA.

State Farm... $115 per month. Over the course of the past ten years, I've had two speeding tickets, a too fast for conditions and a racing ticket dropped down to a speeding and two claims... all in my 95 nissan pickup and I never saw my rate change once...

I've never got a ticket in the SS... knock, knock.
