Default SLP Subframe Connectors

I bought a set of SLP subframe connectors (bolt on) from a fellow member here. Anyone else have these? Just like to know if they make a difference & if you like them on your car. Also, any underside pictures of these installed? Thanks

They do make a difference and they fit pretty good. My buddy has them on his 02 Z and he likes them. They stiffen the car up alot.

Put em on asap, easy install and tons of fun to see the difference. Do some hard cornering before and after too, that is a blast once you get it all torqued down. I'd put some loctite on your threads if they are bolt on, I didn't and I had to retighten them every so often until I did the loctite.

I've really like these on my '98 Z. Had 'em on for 4 years, never came loose. The trick is, use more washers than the kit provides, so they won't bend when you really crank down on the bolts. Then tighten the bolts with a huge breaker bar as tight as you can possibily make them (I used a 3 foot long pipe over my bar to get maximum leverage).

Car seems MUCH stiffer after the install. Going over bumps it feels more solid.

Thanks for the loctite advise! That's a good idea.

If I were you I'd get a torque arm and lower control arms with lowering brackets ASAP. You will notice a HELL of a difference.

I'm planning to get a set of these, too. Anyone know of any good enough reason to buy the weld-on set rather than the bolt-on set? Is there really a noticeable difference?

Bolt 'em in now, weld 'em in later! Noticeable difference between before and after install!

The upfront difference is cost. The weld type are about $100 cheaper.

Nope. They do exactly the same thing. A lot of guys who race want the weld in ones just to make sure they never come off but I opted for the bolt in's from UMI in case I ever want to return the car to stock. My bolts are just as tight as the day I put them in.

For anyone who reads this post looking for advice about buying the SLP SFCs; you can purchase the weld in one's for $100 cheaper, then buy the bolt kit that SLP sells separately for like around $35 or so, paint, powder coat, etc the SFCs and you're ready to bolt them in! saves you around $50-60 for the same awesome benefits.
