Thumbs up We weighed our cars last night

So last night me and my friends are just chillin bored out of our minds, when we decided to take our cars and weigh them.

01 z28 a4- 3400lbs empty, 3560lbs with me in it

02 ws6 m6- 3520lbs empty, 3700lbs with driver

04 gto a4- 3700lbs empty, 3820lbs with driver

06 gto a4- 3700lbs empty, 3920lbs with driver

To be honest, I expected the t/a to be the lightest out of the bunch being an m6 and all, but I was pretty happy that my car doesn't weigh quite as much as I figured it would. What do you guys think?

im with you i would have thought the WS6 would have been the lightest out of the bunch

We also weighed an 05 cobalt m5 coupe, and it weighed in at 2650lbs empty, but like 2950 with the driver. That's a hell of a weight difference lol.

I weighed my 99 TA a while ago, nothing removed, still had all emissions/AC and a 3/4 tank of gas and came out at 3420 without me in it. That TA does sound a bit heavy.

Mine came in at 3700 on certified CAT scales. But my tool bag and I come in at 200, so mine came in at 3500 with everything still on board. That was with about 5/8 of a tank of gas also.

These were done on certified CAT scales. I had about a half tank of gas.

We were all surprised at the weight of the gtos. I have read 3725 for curb weight, but I still figured it would be closer to 38-3900lbs.

The M6 tranny has like 50 lbs on the A4, I weighed an empty A4 and M6 both on a bathroom scale to get an idea the A4 was like 92lbs and the M6 was almost 140. Considering the clutch/fw/pp and converter weight about the same, that accounts for some of the difference. Plus probably more option garbage on the T/A.
