No such thing a "Stage 2". 2ss is just a trim level. The motors are the same.

If iremember right, Borla got a pre production SS to work on the catback for it and has headers already. Check the 5th gen section. The guy from Borlas name is Greg Weiss I believe. a guy on cz28.com already has some ordered.

I finally got to see one in person today. It was a six cylinder, but it had True Duals just as the V8 does. Thats awsome. The pictures from the first few posts didn't come up on my screen so I didn't get to the see the dynoed SS. Do the V8 cars have the "Gas Tank" looking mufflers just before it exits out the back? This car did. Terrible. I'd have to install a different catback simply for this reason alone. Ugly. Also, I agree these engine covers have got to go. GM, you wanna save some money? Scrap this crap and invest the money in saving Pontiac.

I love the exhaust! When my 3rd gen was stock the exhaust just looked jerry rigged together and you will gain some hp with the true duals.

My car is faster.
Nice ride, bout time they brought it back. Barley a few tenths faster in the quarter from the 98-02 SS.
Power to weight is where its at. Sad that GM's bankrupt now.

I think we need to find someone with a new SS that is willing to have the motor yanked and run on an engine dyno. That way we can have the definitive numbers are what this car is putting out.
