Bought it in Feb. 2005 and DD it for 1.5 years. Only put about 7000 miles on it in that time cause work was really close. Got a 4x4 Ram for my DD now so it's definitely a weekend cruiser. Last year I put 300 miles on my TA. LOL.

The way I look at it is that the more miles you drive a car you love, then the more fun you're having.

Same with gas mileage. Driving a car you love isn't about MPG, it's about FPG (fun per gallon).

Sure there can be extreme cases where it just wouldn't be practical whatsoever, but if you're not worried about a few chips or scratches (no show cars) and get >15mpg city (no race cars), then why not drive it every day?

I know I will.

I Daily Drove my 98 ws6 for 5+ years from 30K to 100K miles, I purchased a ls2 gto for the new daily, so I can have the WS6 in the garage, and the GTO as a daily, nice to always have 340+ rwhp on tap

Try daily driving a 80 Trans Am and your SS will feel like heaven. I drove my T/A for 3 days and it is such a beast but no power steering and busted seat foam sucks.

My '94 Formula is my DD. I'm still in high school and can't afford another car or insurance for another car, but I wouldn't want it any other way. I love it to death. Bought it about 6 months ago and put 3k miles on it already. It's pretty close to stock, but that will change over the summer, and maybe my opinion about driving it in bad weather will too. But regardless, it's a hell of a ride. Couple of my friends have 3rd/4th gen f-bodies too, and they defiantely feel the same way.

Its much more enjoyable when you don't have to daily drive it especially after you get a cam and stall. I haven't had to wash my car in months thanks to it staying in the garage.

It's also nice having a beater where you don't care about getting rained on, rock chips, and door dings. There are times though when I'm in the beater and missed having the power and torque of a V8.

I drive mine all the time. In order for me to keep it in the garage I would need to have a nicer and more powerful car to daily drive.

I bought my hawk with 325 miles on the od. It now has 41,000. My car is a D/D The guy before me didn't want to put any miles on it, so he kept it in a storage place. I guess he got alot of enjoyment out of those 325 miles in 3 years! His loss my gain You can't take it with you! Life is too short, not to enjoy these cars all the time.

I drive mines on and off but I have an 06 Cobalt SS Supercharged with a Stage 2 Kit for DD. It's still cover under the powertrain warranty so I can't do much to it but I can do alot to my 98 Camaro SS got it a couple of months ago It had 45K when I bought it and now it has 46K It was bone stock. The first day I got it off the truck took to have the GMMG exhaust and 160 thermo put on. Then I put a bunch of other bolt ons on myself and then had Kooks Headers with catted Y put on. It puts down 320rwhp and 301rwtq and Now I'm looking a head and cam package. I had a T/A before this but I got tired of a A4 and had to go to a M6 and boy is it more fun.

I drive my car everyday for the most part, although I hate doing it. Since lowering my car and having a 3inch custom y pipe made I bottom out on almost ALL speedbumps and my neighborhood is filled with them as well as the local plazas and even the only entrance to my damn school... pisses me off soo much. Also I find driving the car everyday takes the fun out of driving it and it becomes monotonous trying to navigate crammed parking lots in a cammed M6 fbody as well as avoiding all those countless close calls with other drivers not watching what they're doing /rant. I love my car btw as much as when I first got it, its just a PITA sometimes you know...

I have to DD my car, I cant afford 2 different cars just to drive...
I have a 4x4 truck i use for hunting but i dont trust it enough to drive every day and it gets about 10 miles to the gallon.

Haha ive only driven mine like 4 times, cause i havent insured it yet and just bought it. It has a 234/239 (or 234/240) cam lol and its the first car ive ever purchased and owned in my life and first manual car ive regularily driven in my life and i already feel like you after like 4 drives lol.

But i kinda also love the fact its hard to drive, makes it feel like a special occassion everytime you drive her. Once you open her up a bit you forget about all the downsides to the driveability and you get a smile on your face.
