Default most comfortable seat replacements in f body?

what are the most comfortable seats you ever planted you **** in,in an f body or seats that will fit in an f body? although i do like the side supports in my camaro (cloth seats), there is no lumbar support and my lower back feels fried after awhile. what is a good cushion like leather seat for guys with bum backs and good side support so your not being thrown side to side. ive never sat in the trans am seats and i heard their comfy. for the guys that have done seat replacements please post pics! hopefully this will be a good thread for guys who like to feel comfortable while layin some rubber

I tried the TA seats in mine, the lumbar and sides
were nice but the bottom was worse (like a sling
chair) and the wife with her bad back couldn't stand
them at all (though she hates the Camaro seats too).

I would try GTO seats if only they didn't have "GTO"
so boldly embroidered.

Interested to hear of any other options, that will
bolt up or at least be an easy track adapt. Full
power passenger's would be a bonus.

Corvette seats will fit from what i understand. You probably just need a custom bracket.

They have decent bolstering and lumbar support.

I love the T/A seats personally. I would try that first unless you're looking for aftermarket. The T/A ones have great fit adjustment with all the adjustability of them. I don't find the bottom to be a problem like jimmyblue did though, even for long trips. Jmho.

Not Corbea, I have put there racing seats in my Z28 and that lasted about six months and then they ended up as garage seats for when friends come over. Terriable back and shoulder support. I am 6'3'' 240 though. So to each the fitment might be different. But I would also Agree the T/A seats are my favorite choose. My T/A rides very nice compared to both Z28's I have.

The Camaro seats are horrible. How could GM build such a great engine and overall car and use the same seats they have been for decades? So do the T/A seats fit on the same brackets? I like the Corvette seats but for the price you could get some Sparco or other nice seats.

Not sure if GTO seats work in a f-body, but they are very good.....I'd love to have them in my WS6.

In another thread someone is putting seats from an SRT into their fbody.
The seats looks very nice and the guy doing the swap says the seats are extremely supportive and comfortable.

do a search and you should find the thread, I saw it last week.

I'm still saying go with T/A seats unless you're looking for racing style aftermarkets. They have great adjustability and lumbar support and the side bolsters are awesome for those sharp bends lol. Just my two cents.

I have 2 thumbs and agree with this guy. I fabbed in a leather racing seat from Summit, bought a custom bracket, etc. I really did not like it whatsoever. I returned it, found a nice pair of Trans Am seats and put those in.

Here I sit in Utah, having just driven from Ohio in the Camaro, and didn't have a single issue with the Trans Am seats. The bolsters inflate to hold you in, much better than a vette seat, and the lumbar inflates to help your back.

The bolts, electrics, and everything else fit perfectly in the car, no fabbing or anything. I can post some pics once I get home if you are interested.

Good luck!

my stock leather seats are some of the most comfortable seats i've ever had, besides the leather seats in my old '00 grand cherokee. But that was tan leather, didn't heat up too bad...but now i've got ebony leather in the camaro....mix that with a south carolina summer and its like entering a sauna every day...

I have a zo6 seats in my 70 camaro, and must say they are very comfortable. I am actually looking for a set to put in my 98 fbody. The bad thing is they arent real cheap.
