Default Running with cut outs opened?

I got a cut out installed yesterday in my car with true dual exhaust. But I havent installed the electric valve yet, is it bad to run the car with the cut out always open? It sounds ******* bad *** Id probably leave it open until I pass a cop anyways lol. But Ive heard of no back pressure or something like that, the car is true duals too with a single cut out so Im assuming its got more flow. Thanks!

I run with my cutout open all of the time. Never had any issues with it other than it sounds GREAT!!!! And from what I have read on here the problem with no back pressure is that everyone it looking for that. The more flow you have on the exhaust end the better off you will be.

Oh ok, just wanted to make sure, I have never riden or done a cut out before. What about all the additional vibration? The change in my cup holder rattles lol. It does sound awesome though I love it.

2 strokes need back pressure. Not 4 strokes. Have fun with your cut-out.

With stock exhaust I ALWAYS had the cut out open.
It was on the I-pipe.
Sounded much better than stock.
Just put in LT's and a three inch ORY and its ******* loud.
I am going to close the cutout, because it's beyond acceptable.
Don't know if I'll get home without a ticket.
Plus, it's so god damn raspy it sounds like forty dudes smacking metal dicks on a tin can.
Hopefully will sound less shitty with it closed.
I need true duals. I wouldn't mind how loud it was if it actually sounded good.

When I first got mine I had it open all the time but now I just open it on "special" occasions and I love the sound.

Where are you running a single cut-out on a true dual system?

So you just have a cut-out coming off of one header and the other header through a muffler? That is kind of strange, I have one cut-out but its right after the Y-Pipe. Love the sound of Cut-outs BTW, makes the car sound alot faster than it is haha.

Pretty much haha, I know its weird but I didnt want to buy two of them and then regret it if it sounded bad or was way to loud. So I bought one just to see what I was getting into, dude it sounds amazing lol. Im making a video of a cold start today when I get off work.

The car is not stock, I have Pacesetter LTs, x pipe true duals, trex cam all sorts of other crap to support the cam and intake stuff too. Would all the additional vibration hurt something in the car? It sounds very radical.

The only thing you have to worry about is your hearing and getting pulled over by the fuzz...............

I have dual e-cutouts and drive with them open everywhere except through town. They are so loud you can't yell above them to a guy standing on the other side of the car. Inside, it's so loud you have to talk above them.

With my Shelby Cobra replica it has a 427- longtubes going into side pipes and it is very loud but sounded very good.
I never had a problem from any cops bothering me about how loud it was.
The condo I had at the time had underground parking and I would have to drive it nice and easy in the parking garage otherwise I would set off all the car alarms. When I would first start it up in the morning though-- it would first start with a big woomp! and alarms would go off all throughout the parking garage, but no one complained. Always received lots of compliments on the car.

I'm planning on getting true duals on my Camaro soon with cutouts and I'm sure that I will leave them open.

I think that when the exhaust is loud but sounds good, it isn't as much of a problem as when it sounds bad.

BTY-
I haven't found any street cars to be any louder than the Cobra I had.
Has anyone specifically had problems with cops? warnings, tickets, etc because of loud exhaust?

Everyone that posted clips of their cars and how they sound--
they all sound great! I enjoyed listening to all of them.
