Frustrated
OK, everytime I work on my car I take it to my Dad's garage because there is more space/tools etc. I tell him I need to replace the window motor.
He instead of waiting until I get home from work, decides to start early and ******* drills out the whole system(the lift & motor instead of just the motor).
I come home to him trying to jam the ******* assembly into the door (he has the motor attached to the assembly). I am thinking I have to take the motor off to re-leave the pressure from the spring in order to line up the assembly.
I am pretty sure this will work...but if anyone has any other suggestions it would be helpful.
But damn, I respect my father, and I held my tongue on this...but sometimes I just want to blow up.

Yeah--you don't have to take the whole thing out. Just drill holes to access the 3 rivets on the motor.
He just barges into things without reading up about it because he has been doing this kind of stuff for so long.
I cant ask him to it to a shop and pay for it. I know he can fix it now and I know I can fix it as well, but it's just the point of having to fix it.

Then when you have the lift and bracket in place, attach the motor to the bracket.
I haven't tried this yet, but hopefully that will work.

Then if it goes bad again, it is as simple as removing the speaker and unscrewing the motor.

I put it back in successfully last night. I put the lift and frame in first, then spring and motor. Althou, I don't think it really matters if you have the motor attached or not, just the spring.
Thanks for the comment, this really helped dude. your so awesome!!!
btw for your info only- I had chicken for dinner and then went to football practice, it was super sweet!! lollzz
