A Z28 can beat a SS stock vs stock any day or the other way around. it will always go hand & hand. just depends on which ones more of a "factory freak" 
I got an 2001 Z28 with exhaust, lid & raced a 2002 SS with the same mods. & I won! so yea.... but with you. duh its going to feel like your SS is faster. you have more mods. wait til your bro gets some mods and make another post saying how WRONG you were that Z28 are slower.... same engine means same engine.
NO! I beat a WS6
hahaah. went from a 30 roll. gave the 3 honks n I began to pull instantly on him 
shifting into second & then into third (but went into fifth) then he went flying by me. I could feel him slowly creeping up though. After the run we were talking & I asked what he had done. OF COURSE! "its stock..." HAHA. yea not a retard. I can tell when a car is stock. & that thing was LOUD and had that certain noise to it.... I would def say he had long tube headers & maybe a cam? but he also said he started in second gear. so hence why I pulled on him. So a Z28 can beat a WS6. hahaha. 
but stock vs stock SS & Z28 can pull off a win.

WTB SS decals for extra 150hp!!!!!! Man, then all I'll need is the "Parkbench" where my spoiler is supposed to be, and that will add another 100hp, then I take of my restrictor plate, adjust my flux capacitor, and cut a hole in my hood......with all those mods.... 500Hp!!! woot! lol...
Ok on a serious note, the first time I drove my Z28 I thought it was fast too, as I haven't had a "fast" car since highschool. After the first week of driving it, It makes me yawn. It doesn't have nearly as much performance as I would like. But for course I want mine to be more of a "GT" style car then a drag car.
I mean, its one thing to be able to go 165 mph...its another go corner at 165mph!!!! Now THAT is a rush!!!
