My car is the first I've owned with T-Tops. I HATE THEM. I took them out for one trip. The sun blinded me, the wind blew my hair and everything inside around and it was noisy. They haven't come off since. The shades will never come off either. I've even pulled out the plastic holders they slot into in the rear.

I often wonder how hard it'd be to make it a hard top....

Tinting isn't as effective at blocking out sunlight on warm days as with shades installed, and doesn't let in as much sunlight on cold days as with shades removed. Please explain - what's there not to like?
When I was 18 and wanted a car, my choices were either a 93-02 Camaro or Trans Am, a 300zx, or select fox bodies. Why? Because I wanted a car RWD car with t-tops. I passed up a few good deals on some ls1 cars just because they were hard tops, just because my car HAD to have t-tops.

Its like installing a skylight in your house. Why have a skylight if your gonna cover the opening with a curtain 24/7?

PS- i had tints installed so it wouldn't crack my new $200 dash pad like it did to the old one

I ALWAYS have the shades on. I have 5% tint and I like the closed in feeling. It leaves nothing but the highway in front of me to look at. No distractions.

In nice weather I do take the t tops out sometimes. It depends on my mood, where I am going, and if I'm gonna be on rural roads cruising around 55-60, or if it's parkway driving at 75-80.

I'll put in the shades sometimes in the summer, especially if there's a heat wave, but 95% of the time they're out.
I have just the factory tint on the t-tops.
