2005-06 GTO or 2002 Trans Am
Im debating on selling my trans am to get one of these cars, a 2005 - 06 GTO or a 2002 Trans Am, wanting to know which would be a better bang for my buck? and opinions would help

There is a similar thread just a few down from yours that might be helpful...

Actually, some people including myself would have different responses for both threads. If it were between an 04 GTO or a T/A I'd say go for the T/A, as long as the shoddy interior and less refined quality of the car doesn't bother you. If it were between the later year GTO's then I'd say go for the GTO, because the interior, which is one of the finest in GM's inventory of all time, as well as the LS2 can't be denied. Ultimately, it all depends on what you're looking for...

I went from a 2001 Z28 to a 2005 GTO and now I have a 2002 Z28.
All were automatics with similar mods.
The 05 GTO ran the exact same time as my 02 Z28.
Both had long tube headers and intake untuned. They went 12.7 but the Camaro had 2.73 gears. I went back to a Camaro because I missed having t-tops and didn't like how the GTO looked anymore..hah

I think it really depends on what your looking for. For me, I got my 00 SS cause of all the things that can be done to them, as well as things in general are cheaper for them. For me though, I'm never satisfied and I won't leave ANYTHING on my car stock. By the time I get done with it, its gonna have everything from the wide body kit to C6 Z06 brakes and most likely a MP112. I'm the type of person though that will take the car completely down to repaint it and end up wetsanding and buffing the underside. This car is just a toy though. Something that, when done won't be driven everyday and for a backup when my DD is under the knife. On the the other hand though, my next car WILL be a 05-06 GTO and I'll end up using it for my DD, until yet again, it ends up like the SS with no part untouched and I need something else to drive every day.
