Default 2500 hd?

Hey guys,
Looking for a truck for the winter and to tow my car now and then. Lookin at a 99 hd with the 6.0. Price seems ok on it but it has 150k. Clean truck overall. Thoughts, opinions on the miles? I feel the ls motors are good for tha kind of milage seein as people with 150 on their cars are spraying them and everything else. I would love something like a 7.3 powerstroke but we aren't all rich

If the price is good I would get it. LQ4s aren't expensive, so if the motor goes you can put another one in fairly cheap.

all i can say is a well maintained unabused LS motor i believe could rival a honda 4 cylinder as far as reliability and high mileage.

The engine swap is easy enough but think about the chassis. At 150K that all needs to be rebuilt. if the price is right though?

Price doesnt sound bad, but man thats a shitload of miles. I would never buy something used with that many miles unless I knowingly was going to rag the **** out of it and not keep it long...my opinion.

I tell ya what. I absolutely love my 06 6.0L. Great power and driveablitly. With a good set of trailer brakes I feel confident pulling anything. They are nice trucks. Just check maintenance. Like motor trans and rear end but I don't know why it wouldn't be doable. Also my tuck held dead even with a 95 5.0 GT. I know thats a slow car but I was in a full sized truck. Also check into a Dirty Max. They are also very cool.
