Exclamation So the Z is gone, want a T/A

Well guys, the z-28 is no longer mine. I'm gonna make this a short story, I am getting divorced, lost my job, the house I was staying in, and just about everything else along with that. Got another place to stay, and i'm getting my life back together, feelin happy again. But, I am working on getting another F-body, and I want an ls1 T/A. So guys, how much do you think I should realistically pay for one? I'm not sure what year model I want, and I would love a ws6, but a reg T/A is just as good, and I can always put that hood on there if I want. Anyway, I have been on autotrader alot, and have seen some really nice cars, but I'm just not sure. I will use the car for my DD, and I want one with probably less than 100k miles. I will probably only end up with bolt-ons and a stall, I want an a4 obviously. So, any advice, maybe somewhere I should look or anything you guys wanna throw in, I appreciate it.

I'm sure you can PIC up a good T/A for 10k and a WS6 for 12K....I would look on this site and other LS1 sites to find a nice car. A garage queen will still cost you 15k plus.

sorry to hear about your luck man

my advice is to look around on autotrader and ebay and don't be afraid to travel if you can find a good deal somewhere.

Yeah I was looking on craigs list today, I saw quite a few T/A's around the pheonix area going for around 8k with a lot less than 100k to my surprise. I might be looking into getting into a T/A myself, it should be easy to find one seeing as how no one really jumps on the A4 cars nuts right away lol.

I certainly agree. Don't fall into the 'car is too far away' mindset. You are going to spend BIG $$ on a T/A that you will hopefully have for years. Don't let gas money, fast food money and a few cheap motel nights stop you from getting that car. As far as pricing you still have to live with the old saying, "you get what you pay for". You spend cheap, then expect cheap with so-so tires and repairs within months. Pay more and save yourself the aggravation of a 'money pit' car. Do your homework and look for one or two owner cars with lower miles and documented maintenance history. If you can't afford a nicer example, then good luck! You will need it.
