LT1 Camaros take the win.....LS1 Firebirds take the win. I think stock looking trans ams are ugly as sin.....but that's the whole reason why camaro owners think we are such egotistical bastards who care too much about how our cars look.....but once they are modded just right... they are ******* SEXY BEASTS!!
Well, at least one person got it right. Camaros and Firebirds. FIREBIRDS.
I know the O.P stated his friend didn't like the looks of his Trans Am. Thats fine, but then his buddy say's he prefers the Camaro's. I guess being the "egotistical" Firebird owner that I am (LOL) makes me read into that statement and see the ignorance in it.
The Pontiac version of the F-body is a Firebird. And not every Firebird is a ******' Trans Am.
I like the T/A model of the Firebird as much as I like all the F-bodys GM produced. And I know, when it comes down to it, they're all just different version's of the same car. I guess it just aggrevates the Hell outta me when someone calls my Firebird a Trans Am, when it is not.
Maybe this thread was intended to specifically compare the Firebird Trans Am to the entire Camaro lineup and, if so, I apologize for my rant. And I'm also sorry for throwing the conversation off topic.

the ls1 t/a is one of the best looking cars ever made ( I say t/a because I think firebirds are ugly...too much like a bloated sunfire without the t/a body panels)
the ls1 camaro can look good, but it takes the SS wing, nice wheels (z06 and zr1 are not nice in the least bit...ugly as ****), SS or Sunoco hood
I hate the look of the lt1 cars period, especially the camaros...the pointed front end reminds me of how a 1st grader would draw a car

i bought my formula because it was a black, LS1 M6 car,..that and i got to ride in a ram air 02 WS6 M6 TA...after one quick 30 yrd spring...son i was fkn hooked..
i gives a damn what just about anybody thinks...they only get to see the tailights anyway..

I got mine because:
a. It was a stupid good deal (especially for my area)
b. I was tired of the headlights on the firebirds (my old ones kept crapping out)
c. Most importantly, LS1. And the 02 LS1 at that (free ls6 intake manifold).

Sorry, but a LOT of people think they're ugly. And a lot of people won't say it to your face, anyway. Also, imports can be good, too. The real people who don't know what they're talking about are those that discriminate as such... like you.
