EPIC Happening??,, Christines sister??
Ok.. so i have an 05 silverado z71 ive owned it for about a year has ran like a top..0 problems.. flawless,50k miles, untill she may have showed some true colors this am, i work 12hr shifts at my job, going in at 230 pm and upon coming home i made several stops no issues.. i get home, shut it off pull keys and head for inside as ive had been doing for a long time, i make it thru the garage and upon unlocking the main door into the house i hear my truck start up!!!!!??? mind you the 1 and only set of keys i have for it are in my hand on the ring with the house key i was using!! alot of thoughts ran thru my head being jacked along with thoughts of impossible to jack an 05 that ez. by the time i made it back to the first door i hear it shut off.. i get outside and headlights and all dash lights/radio etc are still on as if i would have shut it off from inside and had the timed power supply, opened the door in akward disbeleif to see power shut of as it would if i were getting out.. Im really inclined to the wiring and know hows of newer GM's ive done an lsx swap into a non lsx car so i know how the wiring works etc etc.. so id like to think i would be able to explain why it shut off no Ohm signal at the key switch!? vats?? but why or how it could have possibly started by itself fully.... not just cranking continuously or just a single power drain on 1 component lol.. i am open to suggestions because im with out a doubt buffalo'd/// i may have god damn christines sister.. as long as she comes back clean, on time, and full tank i have no complaints!! but it was out a doubt freaky experience!!

Honestly, I don't know what to say. I've owned 17 cars, mostly GM, had tons of freakishly weird issues, but never once have I dealt with a car that started and shut itself off.
Did the truck ever have remote start? Something to do with that system is the only thing I can assume, otherwise.....

take your family and get as far away from that truck as you can.
don't try to sell it locally, it will just find its way back to you.
unlike everyone else that could promise to keep you safe, i've got the tools and the know-how to keep it from coming back for you... and i'll take it off your hands for free.

Are you sure those 12 hour shifts aren't exhausting you enough to the point of hallucinations?
I had an 85 Monte that didn't want to shut off, it would diesel for a good 15-20 seconds after it was "shut off", but this is completely different.

I bought a 96 Trans Am when I was 18, and one night we were drinking at the beach and the car started while we were standing in front of it. Turns out it had a viper alarm w/ remote start and you had to press the lock/unlock buttons at the same time for it to work. Didnt know about it since the car didn't have any stickers, didnt beep when you lock/unlock and didnt have an aftermarket remote.
Lemme tell ya, I was dumbfounded until I messed with the key fob and found out what happened

That is a strange problem. Maybe a short in the ignition switch? Problem with the flywheel if it is manual?

Did you know the previous owner? If so I'd ask him about it.

fccs, I almost fell out of my chair watching that vid. The whole office is wondering why I was laughing hysterically. That's so fucked up that I found it funny as hell.

Naw I've heard of weird stuff before but this one wins the prize for sure. I was watching a TV show called Paranormal something or other Tuesday nite. They were having weird troubles. Well they brought in this dude that has this second sight and he said it was all caused by an ENGINE BURIAL GROUND!!!! So they might be something to it after all. You might better put that bitch on a leash to you get it figured out.
