A drifting camaro would be interesting to say the least. Be sure to post pics when its done because I'm interested in seeing it. Good luck with the build.

I've seen a 3rd gen Camaro drift before, it was sweet! lol.

Don't forget that not only can the car lose weight, but so can the driver

Besides weight reduc...what kind of mods on the car?

Well PhilsblwnZ28 on here he has got his car down to 3200 pounds, and 34xx with him in it. He still has the interior adn carpet. He could get to 3000 if he wanted to. He still can remove the rear bumper and support and other things.

EDIT: I have my car sitting at 3140 w/o me in it and 3400 with me in it. So they can be light if you want. I want it to be 3000

Going light is a matter of how much money you have/are willing to spend

Lexan windows
Carbon Fiber Fenders
Tubular K-member
etc. etc.

for the pretty much free stuff i'll list what comes to mind.

!AC, !PS, !front and rear bumper supports, open y-pipe after long tubes, !front sway bar, !interior pieces, !AIR, !egr, !EVAP, !heat shields, shaving needless metal from interior, !air bags, gutting the inside of the dash.

for interior i'd leave all the interior and just get lightweight carpet. you won't save a whole lot from all the plastic pieces anyway and it'd look a lot more ganked up.

best thing is to just look at the threads of weight saving mods.
