I had H/C/I on my Trans am. It was fast but I still think this vette in sig can beat it. I traded it in for it. I say yes get a vette newer model.
So your stock ls3 is faster than your old 500hp camaro but you ran a 12.5 in the vette? So what did the camaro run?

If I could hook up on the T/A probably low 12's high 11's, it had AFR 205 heads and 224/228/114 cam, but if I could get some stickier tires for my vette I believe I could pull the same times. Also you can feel the seat of the pants cause the vette is much lighter than the t/a. This is my experience between the 2 cars. Now I am on stock goodyear run flats on the vette and hardly dont hook up well.JMO

Stock LS3 Vetts are running between 12.6-12-1 @ 115-117 MPH on stock tires

With sticky tires on the vette it should be a beast..I know the ls3 vette can be a beast a couple of my buddy's were getting beatin up by one in their heads and cam ls1. All the ls3 vette had was a tune and exhaust. Ls3 is lighter and has such good flowing heads they easliy hit 500rwhp with just a cam and bolt ons. Damn.. makes me want one..lol

Was this car an A4 or M6? And is this "500hp" an engine estimate or the actual RWHP number?

I ran as fast as 12.6x in an '00 T/A with a 3500 stall, drag radials, air lid, and Flowmaster catback. At full bolt-ons + heads/cam level, you'd be running at least mid 11s with traction and a properly stalled A4. No stock LS3 will keep up with that from a dig. Roll racing is a different story though.

My old Trans Am was a 6 speed exactly @ 503 hp to the motor. I still had the stock rear 7.5 inch though. Your times are about right. No probably with stock tires the LS3 wont keep up.Your correct. But we can try to lower tire pressure hahaha.
