Default V6 and V8 Fuel Pumps the Same?

On the 2002 cars, is there a diference in the V6 and V8 fuel pump assemblies?

I've seen both and they look identical. Maybe there's a difference in pressure?

Look into a walbro if you need a replacement. Half the price of a stock pump.

Do you mean flow rate or fuel pressure?

Which Walbro, does it have the extra pump outlet to fill the bucket?

99.9% sure it would be the same and the pressure is controlled by the regulator not the pump......

I'd like to buy the whole drop in unit. Regulator, sender, pump, etc...

If a V8 unit will work, I'll get it. I think it's Racecraft that sells them, but they only offer a V8 unit. I emailed them Tues night about a V6 unit and have yet to hear back.

So idk.

I saw both today and the V6 unit does not have the built in pressure regulator on it. That's not to say it won't work. There should be no issue using 2 regulators as long as first one is the same or higher pressure than the second one.

The difference is in the psi. V8 pumps are higher psi than the V6 ones.

So what does a stock v8 pump flow in terms of lph? Compared to say a walbro 340 pump that flows 255lph?

Stock pumps lph is 195 and the walbro is a 255lph pump so they do have a bigger flow than stock. As far as a v6 Idk sorry

I believe that the V8 pump is higher PSI as mentioned. I know that when people have done an LS1 swap in a V6 car that they've gotten a different pump because of that.

I had the ls1 swap to the v6 done. So I should get a 255lph v8 pump. Car does feel like it lacks power but I just figured because I still have stock exhaust and the v6 rear end. ... engine has big cam and ls6 intake
