Nice car and i have driven my friends Vette and yes they are responsive and nice but I am just too biased I guess it can only be an SS camaro for me. If I had 10 million dollars it would still be the car I drove. I owned a 2001 Range Rover too and NEVER ever hardly drove it.

Real nice man! Congrats
I was also so very happy after I bought my Vette last summer. I'm so glad I got it instread of another fox body Mustang, or anything else for that matter. The deal I got was almost impossible to past up. Driving it is a blast.

They are nice cars and run well stock. Sometimes I wish mine was stock, once you start modding them, it never ends.

Then you're doing something wrong. A stock 2003 C5 z06 will go low 12's at best in the 1/4 mile. Stock A4 LS1's go low 13's. Throw in a stall, h/c/i and you should be blowing away the vette's. Ask me how I know.

Oh, and it's still cheaper and you have a meaner looking/sounding car than a Vette.

And my .02, Vette's stopped looking like a muscle car when the Stingray left production.

Looks sick, but def needs to be detailed lol. Whoever buffed that car last needs to learn how to buff badly. If you were in PA I would do it for you

I think he meant "blew me away" as in how the car felt, not a race.

I'm over going "fast"... For now. I could have built a 600-700hp f-body with the same money I bought my vette for... But thats not what I wanted. Theres more to a car than just power. It rides better, handles better, is more comfortable, is still fast, gets great MPG, is cheaper to insure (dont ask me how...), will hold its value much better (unlike a built f-body...), and I like driving it more.

This thing is my DD for the summer. I dont want to DD a 700hp f-body. It would just be pointless. You wouldnt be able to use the power anyways since you're not going to hook up on street tires. I rarely take my cars to the drag strip either.

Its all a matter of what you want out of it. Yes, I could have been into a f-body cheaper and made more power, but I've already owned 5-6 of them and it was time for a change.

How does it sound "meaner" when its got the same engine?

I could say the same thing about f-bodies too.... The last real ones were made in the 60's.

As for looks... I like my Z06 more than my SS.

I'm jealous. I wanted a Z06 but couldn't afford it so I got a 99 SS. I'll get one when my 3 kids get a little older. Good find and enjoy.

Dude you must be high. I like my Z28 and all but if I had 10 mil I'd be rollin' in a Porsche GT2 or something with the f-body chilling in the garage for times when I feel like being a hooligan.

A stock Vette vs a full exhaust F-body?
The difference is one sounds like a real muscle car.

Really? C'mon...

The real difference is I'd rape a full exhaust f-body with my stock Z anywhere I went...

BTW, Z06's arent exactly "quiet" either. Heres mine.... Which is STOCK... I might add. (taken with my iphone)

You have made no valid points here convincing me why I should have gone with a bolt-on f-body (which I should also add I've had a few...) over a Z06. My guess is you've never been in one before... I'm happy about my decision... And thats all that matters to me.
