Do you warm up your car? How long does it take?

I let the idle settle before I start driving. I don't rev it past 2k before shifting until the engine reaches temp. Living in a neighborhood it's up to temp by the time I get to the any main roads. Just don't beat on her till she's up to temp.

In the summer here theres no need to when its anywhere from 90 to 108 every day. In the winter i'll let it sit for a minute or two just til the needle starts rising then i'll take it easy til it gets to temp.

As SOON as I start the car, I drop the clutch at 4500 and run through 3rd. JK
In the winter, I generally start the car, and back it out of the driveway and let it sit for a good 4 or 5 mins, and take it easy until operating temps.
Summer, I start the car up and go on my way once the idle is set.

Yeah, I let it sit idling in my driveway for about 30 seconds or so, of course it's not warmed up so I just start to drive off and take it real easy, after about 5 min. or so of driving slow, it's pretty much at proper operating temperature which is right at, or around 210*. No need in letting it sit there idling for however long it may take until it gets 100% warmed up, nobody has time for that. If you just drive it easy for the first 5-8 minutes the car warms up just fine.

im alway set it sit for few min til rpm needle drop down, then drive it easy out the neighbor hood, when im get on main road just shift under 3k,dont beat on it til it fully warm up. that also for your tranny and rear end too.
On winter time, im alway get out and turn the keys, get back in, brush teeth, change cloth, hair grap what I need then get on the car and drive to work.

I let mine idle for about 5 mins in the driveway. Usually when the temp is about 160 range I'll pull out of the driveway. By the time I get out of the neighborhood it's up to full temp so I'll give it some gas once I get out on the main road.
If for some reason I just needed to go, I wouldn't go over 2K RPMs till I'm up to temp.

People always seem to focus on coolant temps, and while that is at least a part of the equation, it's the oil temps that really matter. Cold oil doesn't flow well (regardless of the model year of your car)...warm oil does. Just because your coolant temps have reached normal operating range doesn't mean the oil has too...the oil takes much longer, usually on the order of another 10-15 minutes depending on ambient conditions before it finally reaches normal operating temps. Don't believe me? Put an oil temp gauge on there and see for yourself.

Regardless how hot it is outside I usually let my car idle for at least 30 secs before pulling out. I like to wait til the car starts to idle just under 1000 RPM... after that ill cruise. I got about a 5 min cruise to the on ramp, and if I feel like it i'll get on it then.. otherwise I dont really see above 3k RPM.

No matter what, I always prime the fuel pump. When I start it, I wait maybe about 15-20 seconds or so to get some oil coverage for the motor, then drive lightly until it's all warmed up.
