Thanks! Your's looks great too....394 at the tires sure feels different than my old bolt on LT1.

I've got a 3 year old and a 2 month old, so I've got a while before I can spend any real money. But I've also got a father-in-law starting a frame off resto on a 69 Chevelle SS396 he's owned since the early 70s. I think I'll let him spend the money and I'll play with the toy

It's hard to tally with all the changes:

3x camshafts
2x sets cylinder heads
1x STS turbo/intercooler - sold and back to NA
4x sets of wheels
1x 9" rear
2x clutch setups
5x exhaust setups. From Magnaflow to GMMG.
Suspension stuff, fuel, etc, etc

My best guess after all is said and done is $18K in parts over 8 years. That's counting the $$ I've recoupled selling used parts here on LS1Tech. Bought the car for $17.5 with 3500 miles on it. Now has 60,000. Worth $10K. Not exactly a good investment, but still looks great in the driveway.

Suprisingly the wife hasn't gone ballistic over all of it. Hell, she was underneath the damn car with me last week hoisting the trans in after the latest LS7 clutch swap. Unfortunately, she'll be needed again, as the new rear main seal seems to be leaking. $%^&.

I was at $27k and a little change total last time I tallied

In a few months I'm going to drop about $700 on a 100mm MAF/104 LID and a 25% UD pulley, retune and quick check of the engine.

There's about $4500k worth of used NO2 systems; big stand alone, 15lb bottles, brackets... just need the electronic's and to install. May sell the NO2 to go for a set of AFCO's looseing interest in the NO2 install lattely.

Agreed.

People say it's generally accepted, I call BS. I do not think any seller finds that acceptible and buyers want to be ball busters about it. If priced competitivly things to do sell and sell quickly. Depending on the car and situation people can do very well. This website lends to have people who can "do-it-themselves" and that is a major difference.

Get a car site or a particular group that does not turn wrenches, your going to find people willing to pay for a more modded car.

I have thought about selling mine from time to time. I just wish i had kept all that stuff such as stock exhaust and manifolds. Just a PITA to collect all that stuff, do the work, sell the car and them piece out the mods which at this time are even hard to sell.

Economy sucks, period.

Is it the LQ9 or 9" Moser or both that added 200lbs?

Mine's always been 35xx lbs (depending on gas tank) just like stock, until I added 70lbs of sound dampening. Now it's 3520 lbs.

That's been my brag comparing when Fbodies to Detroit's current crop of HUGE muscle cars, coming in around 4000lbs.

The new Mustang is barely over 3,600 lbs and the Camaro is a tad over 3,800 lbs. Only the Charger and Challenger are over 4,000.

Very nice list! I work for a Jeep parts company and have quick access to my account to see how much I've spent on Jeep parts over the years. It's sad...

"Tot $: 8,370.00 - Tot Ords: 169 - Avg $/Ord: 49.52"

Oye..

Don't want to thread hijack too much but yes that's my dog. It's actually a Cane Corso (Italian mastiff). But they do look similar to a Presa Canario.
