Forget the T/A, it needs work.

My vote is for the silver ss, if he can show receipts for the rebuild. I'm in PC too. I haven't seen that car around though.

Just my opinion though.

That Z28 looks like it was well taken care of. That's my vote.

I would check out the SS, look it over thoroughly and see what you make of it. The clear coat issue sucks but isn't a huge deal breaker. Body has high mileage, ask if he has any receipts of the engine work or from the gear install for that matter.

I don't like the the Z because it has "superchip/tuner" and "breaks"in the ad, that one makes me feel like its been beat to ****. Although the paint on that one looks good and the interior is nice. It has a front bra and looks like a dash pad cover. I'm really hating on the pin-strip but that can be remove easy peezy.

The T/A, ehhh fuel pump that is nothing too major and I think it looks the best out of three, he doesn't give the mileage so that's something to find out. It's the only M6 out of the three if you would prefer a manual.

But if it were me, if the SS is in decent shape that's the one I would go for.

It is all a very personal preference. To me, any T/A is a better buy over a camaro. Buy look at which one you like the best and think about how much money you will need to sink into it to make it what you want it to be. That is your figure.

After owning both over the years, at this point I would always pick the Camaro.

I would get that SS especially since it has a rebuilt motor/tranny. However, I would be sure to look it over thoroughly when you go to look at it though, see if he has any receipts or any other documentation proving all of the work done to the car.

Which is why I mentioned the personal preference. I have had friends that would kill for an SS while to me the curves of a T/A are just the sexiest thing in the world

Not everyone is the same and sometimes I am glad the T/A lovers group is smaller as I have people to compete against, but at the same time it generally means I have less available to me as well. Very much a double edged sword.

I specifically sold my Trans Am to get back into a Camaro. Was a great move IMO.

Haha....just giving you a hard time. I agree 100% that it's just a matter of preference, and if what you really want is a specific model, then nothing else will ever make you quite as happy.

Great for the bird lovers, sure!

I know, I am not taking it personally. All part of the f-body banter!

If I only stuck to my favorite I would still have my 69 Charger. I still think about her from time to time though and wonder if I did right by selling her.

Auto will always put down more consistent track times than an M6. And if you program and shift points well for you car it will beat an M6. To flatly say manual is better than auto is a fallacy. Is a stick more fun than an auto on a street car? Oh hell yea. I will not disagree there. But on the track, consistency is king.

No more M6 vs A4 threads please.... I already had to lock one of those today, and I've got plenty of padlocks left

Anyone that actually thinks one trans type is always and completely superior to another has a serious issue understanding the difference between fact and opinion. Anything beyond that is pointless for me to say, because people will like what they like, and should buy what they like regardless of what other's "think" is better.

Now please, let's drop the A4 vs M6 debate so I don't have to edit or lock this thread.

I'd pick the t/a, much rather do a little mechanical work then clear coat. Then again taking care of a black car sucks *** too

I'm sorry. I did not mean to start a debate between the two.

The SS looks clean but it's an auto so I wouldn't want it. The Z28 looks nice but the owner doesn't seem intelligent at all so that's always a red flag for me. If his ad is that bad, I'm just not sure how well her treated the car. The Trans Am looks nice and is an m6however he doesn't list the miles. I'd check all 3 out and go with whichever you get the best feeling about since you don't appear to care about a4 vs m6.
