propane ls1?
Hello my name is Matt I joined this site cause it looks like I could get my question answered best here,so here's my question.
I am looking at building a engine for my boat that runs only on propane I was interested in the ls1 because it is aluminum and I would like to keep the weight down,is it possible to get the ls1 to run on propane and have at least 400hp and I was going to turbo charge it. And on a budget? I would be building the motor myself as.much as possible I do have previous experience on putting engines together and can figure stuff out
Thanks in advance Matt

Propane likes more CR than gasoline so it seems to me
like a turbo propane setup might work well. But propane
does seem to produce less power per displacement in
NA setups. So I guess you'd crank the boost even more.
I think your vaporizer setup will be "interesting" to come
up with.

[QUOTE=Billy Wright;20301363] Oxygen by itself is too unstable

Don't use pure oxygen
[QUOTE=Billy Wright;20301363] oxygen isn't a liquid untill you add the nitrogen. Pure oxygen is not a good idea. I blew the head off my lawn mower with pure oxygen when I was a kid.. accidentally
