Default Cam ideas

is their any small cam you can install (such as the small tsp sleeper cam) that can be installed without any supporting mods for the cam?

Don't "cheap out" on a cam upgrade. But to answer your question, I wouldn't run anything but the stock cam with the stock valvetrain. I don't even think the LS6 cam would work with the stock valve train. I might be wrong on that though.

By supporting mods do you mean headers, intake, heads, etc. Or do you mean springs, pushrods, oil pump,

Don't be a Mr. Ghetto Man. If you do a cam swap at least pick one that will be worth your time/ money.

The GM ASA cam is a good performer that uses ls6 valve springs. About the most budget friendly setup available.

I meant pushrods, etc, but i decided almost as soon as i made the thread that should i ever cam the car, like these guys said, ill do it right and do it with a decent size cam with all supporting mods. I was just curious! :p

Push rods, springs, ls2 timing chain and a ported oil pump are the supporting mods that you should buy.
