The z06 would be much easier and cheaper to swap.

Personally I wouldn't choose either of those. But if you only want to choose between those two I'd go with the Vette.

It really depends on your end goal.

Swapping a GM engine into a Honda is really going to limit your market if you were to sell it. A lot of guys here will like it, but the value of the LS7 will have you selling the car for much more than many would be willing to pay. It would be a badass toy, but probably a badass toy you're stuck with.

Swapping the LS7 into the C5 Z06, as stated, would be much easier to do. You'd also have a better chance of selling it down the road, since the price of a well build C5 Z06 would remain high enough to offset the parts you're putting in.

Basically:
Build to keep and enjoy = S2000
Build to eventually sell = C5 Z06

Good luck with the build, whichever route you take.

This is definitely an opinion.. but I'd rather have a C5Z any day. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate a clean S2k. But I'd rather have the Z.

Just depends on what you're looking for.

Ease of swap: Vette
Uniqueness: S2k
Etc.

You could go on with the 'this or thats' all day. I'd probably write it all down on a piece of paper and just weigh each vehicle out and decide which suits your needs more.

Personally, I'd do the 'Vette

What is wrong with the c6z? Already has the ls7 and is, imo, a better car than the c5z. Although an ls7 s2k would be cool. If you must swap a motor, the decision is personal, and you will loss money on it if you sell it.

Please do not put that motor in a Honda.

I'm 5'7" 150 lbs and an S2K is way too small for me. LS7 would make it a monster but your gonna fit in it like a sized shoe.

I was looking at those too but decided to save up for an 08+. Those cars are monsters with just long tubes and a cam.

You know the seat moves back, right? I'm 6'1" and was ~200lbs when I had my S2000, and it fit me like a glove. S2000 gets my vote, OP. I'm a Corvette lover, but the S2000 is a different kind of fun. And with the the same motor, I believe the better car overall.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't even look twice at a C5 (Z or otherwise) next to an LS-swapped S2000 or FD RX7.

this would vastly depend on who did the swap and how.

You have a good understanding of the craftsmanship and durability of the vette.

What about the rear end in the S2ks? There is a guy local to me doing the same swap and thinks the rear will hold a cammed ls1 just fine. Any one know?

Agreed.

Depends on what you want to do with the car. I'd do S2k for the cool factor. If you're keeping it N/A it'd be a hell of a track car too (probably too much power lol but).
