If you could pick (which one) GTO or G8
Ok so I recently sold my tbss last month and looking for another LS vehicle. Im currently in the market for a 05-06 GTO or a 08-09 G8 GT. Im married with no kids if that helps. If you could pick one which would you get?

The GTO has some suspension issues (if I remember right bushings, strut rub, rear spring sag), and the G8 GT has had some valve train issues if I remember correctly.
Id honestly consider a CTS-V1 before either.

I really like the G8, I've even considered selling the TA to get one. I like that its 4 door and has plenty of room for people in the back seat. It also surprises a lot of people when you drop the hammer.

Get the G8 so when you do have a family and kids you will be much more likely to keep it. A friend of mine has one, and it's a LOT of fun to drive. The concept of fast 4-doors really makes me happy, especially for people who want something fast but need something practical as well. For instance, you can take the kids to school, then put the hammer down on the way home. G8's are rightfully fast, it's actually somewhat surprising.
However, if you want something for yourself get a Goat. Shoot for an LS2 GTO if you can afford it.

GTO has more of a musclecar feel and is faster stock to stock. The front seats are awesome!
G8 is more BMW sports sedan feeling. In spite of two extra doors, most people think it's a much better looking car. Seats aren't so good. Parts availability will be better as related models are still in production.

G8 looks way better for sure, and isn't it easier to fit a more aggressive wheel and tire combo on them over the GTO? I loved mine, only got rid of it because it was a gas hog due to all the city driving I was doing for my work commute.
This was mine, GT with a GXP front end conversion, which IMHO totally changed the cars looks. The stock GT bumper is so blah.
