My Car (LS1 DeLorean) Used For An Episode of Car Fix on Velocity! Airs Tonight!
Just want to give a heads up to anyone interested. My car is going to be used on an episode of Car Fix on Velocity tonight. The episode airs at 8:30pm then shows again at 11:30pm, then 11:00am on both saturday and sunday.
For they episode they replaced my stock heads and cam with Lingenfelter heads (ported, polished, angle job, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, SS valves) and a Lingenfelter GT11 cam. Then they performed a full dyno tune on the car, pushing the output to 420hp at the wheels.
If you get Velocity you should check it out! Otherwise the episode will also be available on iTunes and Amazon Prime.
Did you have a build thread & then kinda stopped posting? I remember this build & talking about the transmission. Are there plans for an upgrade once trans gives out?
I don't recall them stating the duration; just lift & LSA. Must be short duration not to have had to flycut. Interesting episode & congrats. Wouldn't use the episode as a "how to guide." Cool to see, none the less. That car is friggin' awesome. Surprised the dyno operator didn't vanish into the future @ 88 MPH, lol. Sorry, couldn't resist.

I'm still concerned with the transmission, especially now given the new output. I've got a project in the works to make a new, much stronger input shaft which should pretty much solve all of my problems
If you're curious, here are the cam specs taken from the lingenfelter website: 215/231 duration @ .050 lift - .631/.644 lift with 1.7 118.0 CL
Yea, I think I still have a thread here. The build is still available here: http://ls1delorean.blogspot.com

Yah, that explains why there was no need to flycut, assuming stock head gasket .053".
awesome! watched it this morning, great to see someone from here on such a good car show. and a delorean with LS1, fantastic. did u get to meet the guys at all? they seem like god guys always wonder i. real life if they are. congrats on the whole deal. awesome car.
I like the set up the guys did on your LS1. I have a couple of questions.
1) Were the Heads EDL61969 on Lingenfelter's website?
2) The guys mentioned you have an LS6 intake already on the car; is this a stock intake?
I have an LS1 in my 71 Camaro and think the project you did on your De Lorean will be a good upgrade for my car. Thanks.
