Think I'm ready to move on from my 4th Gen. Looking for some imput on what everyone else would rather have or drive. Looking in getting a 5th Gen or 3rd Gen with an LS swap.

I think a 3rd Gen with an LS swap is pretty awesome. I am wanting to do a 77 to 79 Trans Am LS swap one day.

If I could only have one, then I'd rather have a nice 4th gen vs. a 5th gen or LS swapped 3rd gen. But that's probably because I've only owned a 4th gen for 20 years now. It's still pretty fresh to me. Maybe in 2-3 more decades I'll get bored? Probably not.

I like the 4th gen better than both the 3rd and 5th gen, so I'll be of no help lol. I like the 6th gen though

I have a soft spot for 3rd gens, though I like the 4th better. But clean 3rd gens are really starting to go up in price, so that's the first challenge. 2nd is an LS swap 3rd gen is going to be a project. If it was done right, it may be fine, but if it wasn't do you want to fix someone's work?

5th gen never did a lot for me either (but I like the 6th). I'd probably go with the 3rd gen if the swap can be vouched for and gone over with a fine comb.

I'd also really like to LS swap either a nice 3rd gen Iroc or Z28 or a 3rd gen T/A. I was almost picked up a very nice low mile '89 305, 5spd T/A a couple years ago to do just that.

Save your money for a 6th gen instead of a 3rd or 5th.
