Default What do you think of hptuners being hacked?

Well the program had finally been hacked now hptuners are scrambling changing things up now and blocking the sales of their interfaces. Tune repository is gone lol. I think they should've dropped the prices on credits for generation 3 and 4 since they are an old platform. I wonder how much money they have made from people losing interfaces and having to buy credits all over?

And people wonder why I won’t spend $700 on software that relies on “credits” and other nonsense. I’m not hedging my bets that some company is going to always be around and stick to their promises - especially when they’re already giving the “its on your end” excuses when their **** doesn’t work.

Not fake my friend. I'll give you a demonstration tomorrow. I run a carlot with my close friend and I'll demonstrate me reading and writing and clearing check engine light codes from cars that have the common fuel EVAP code and delete it from the stock tune and flash it back. First one I tried was on a nnbs Tahoe that had low oil pressure light. Changed oil pump and everything under the sun and the code was still there. Been driving the thing for over three months and no knock or noises so I deleted the code from the system the other day.

People have hacked into the computer systems of new cars, sometimes even drove them off the road, as a techie I've heard of some crazy stories.
