Mine!!! The Mighty LM7!!!
If I could afford it for my El Camino, it would be a 6.2 LS3 from around 2013 running the Dual Mode Exhaust option as is factory installed on my 2013 LS Camaro - love that sound. That would also keep me out of Active Fuel Management / Displacement On Demand which is despised by many in the later years since then. And I want nothing to do with Direct Injection.

That's a tough question to answer since there are so many angles to it. Best to build on a budget, best for all out power, best for a specific application............ What is "best"?

There's an old saying "You can go as fast as your pockets will let you!"
Start at looking at some Pro Modified drag cars and see what they're running. Most likely supercharged or turbocharged BBC's on methanol....cha ching

You realize in order to hit even close to that kind of time, there is so much more than just the engine, right? Pretty much every aspect of the vehicle would have to be modified. Don't take this as being insulting, but if you're asking that kind of question, you probably aren't ready for that kind of drag racing. Shoot for 11s first, see what that takes, and go from there. Take it steps at a time.

What are the differences between the 5.3 vs 6.0 vs 7.0? Which ones do you guys recommend for drag builds?
