Isn't that a wonderful feeling knowing that others appreciate our rides after 20+ years??
I am used to getting almost every time I take out the car. I actually consider it a bad day when no one acknowledges it.
The profile on these F-bodies is special and apparently timeless. My wife is used to all my rides over the years but she even comments almost every time we go out.

It really is. I get excited about knowing that I'm going to be driving it somewhere.
My wife can't stand riding in it. I don't know if the passenger's seat is uncomfortable since I've never been there!

The 'hump' can be annoying. My wife is only 4' 11" so no big deal but when she has taken over driving duties on long trips, it feels a bit cramped to me at 5' 9". I'm not in that seat very often though.

Mrs. RPM is about 5'5" and has never complained about the passenger seat. I bought my first F-body (3rd gen, same hump though) a year before we started dating, that was in 1997. So for 25 years we've been driving around in these cars and she's never been uncomfortable. Some were even my daily drivers, so they got used a lot. I guess it just varies from person to person.
When the '02 Z28 was my daily driver, I could spend hours in that car with zero body fatigue. It fit like a glove. I honestly have no idea why some folks find these cars uncomfortable, unless maybe they are extremely tall. If you're ~6' or under I just don't see how it could be an issue.
On the other hand, my '71 tends to give me a leg cramp if I drive it for any long period of time. It's a bench seat car, and I think the issue is that the bottom portion of the bench is tiled back in such a way as to cause a cramp in my thigh. I don't have this problem in my '74, which is also a bench seat but the bottom of it seems "flatter" or, I guess, more level.
Yeah ... my wife is around 5 foot nothing ... and she'd rather we take her `99 Suburban out when we go out. That's too high off of the ground and too slow for me.
I drive mine almost every day and get my fair share of thumbs up. But it doesn't create a sensation like my GTO's, of course. What impresses me is how few you see of them on the road anymore. I get excited when I see one.
As far as wifeliness goes, mine is about 5'5". She has only complained about the difficulty of getting out of the car since I swapped in a cloth interior (the original leather driver's just had no foam left in it). The cloth is grippy and makes it tough for her to dislodge. Getting in and going down the road are no problem for her. .
