Default I let my 17 yr old brother drive my car today!!

He's been bugging me for some time now. I finally gave in. I don't let anyone drive my car besides me. I guess I felt generous today, lol! I told him to be easy on the gas pedal. Well, as he takes off from the drive way, he skids the tires. By this time, I'm thinking I've made a terrible mistake. As the drive went on, he actually suprised me. He doing really good for a car with so much power his first time. He's hooked now. He has a 1998 Suzuki Swift now(which is a perfect beginner car) but he wants to go faster now, lol!

haha he was doing good...let him drive it himself

but just becuase hes 17 doesnt mean the kid cant handle a quick car. i hate when older guys tell me i shouldent have the car i have at my age...i got my car when i was still 16. i guess a lot depends on how the kid is brought up. i raced dirt bikes and quads for years. i was driving cars around our land when i was 10. and my parents trust me and my judgement enough to let me get the car i have.

Yeah, that's a good point, I agree. TOobe honest, I'm only 19, so the age gap isn't that long. I trust him, but not enough to drive it by himself. It's my baby!!

hey, im 17, and my dad and I are putting the 6.0l in my s-10, but then again, i raced jr's from the age of 10, and my 14yo sis started last year, so its kinda in the family, my dad races every weekend and the same with my cousin, so i guess its kinda different when you are brought up on it

i had my car when i was 17...for a month at that age anyway and yes i paid for it myself, but the point is someone that age is going to respect the car alot more than you think.

Ya, Maturity.

I'm 17 & just got my first LS1 car (in my sig). I've only had it for a couple days, and LOVE it. I have been driving since I turned 16, had a 99' 4.8 auto Sierra to start with. So the Modded Camaro M6 SS is a big step up!

I had to learn how to drive with my dads 2000 Corvette. I got to drive it every day to school, because the car I was originally supposed to get was in the shop for major damage, because my Dad wrecked it. So for the first 6 months of me having a licence I got to drive that to school everyday, and anywhere I wanted.

I bought my Camaro when I was 18, I'm 20 now. I do some stupid ****, but I've always had the maturity to understand when too far is too far, and I stay away from that.
