Default LSX intake manifold

I have a 2000 camaro ss and i was wondering if the LSX intake manifold was one of the best or if someone has another one in mind? Also if the LSX is one of the best would i want a 90mm or a 78mm?

LSX is top of the line but there are two general rules of thumb about them.

1). 78mm is a waste of time. If you're going to do it do the fast 90 with a 90MM throttle body. That'll cost ya about $1200 which moves us along to number two.

2). Gains are minimal over a LS6 intake for a bolt-on car. And you'll probably need to dyno tune the car (another $350-500) to get those minimal gains.

If you are going to get a decent size cam (or better still heads and cam) in the future then the fast 90/90 setup is worth its weight in gold. Many heads/cam cars have gained 10-20 rwhp over the ls6 intake. But for a bolt on car just get a used or SLP LS6 intake and call it a day.

remember. bolt on cars dont beat 03 cobras, usually. SO, get the fast 90, because you will want more.

maybe if you suck at driving.

stock cobras are LUCKY to hit 12.7...my really good friend has intake/exhaust 04 cobra @ 12.5....if im not mistaken, full bolt on ls1s are right there too. ****...i know someone with a SOM ws6 with just full exhaust and 3600 stall, and hit 12.2 on ET streets.
