Default Who has the LAST Camaro/Firebird

I was just wondering who has the LAST Camaro or Firebird ever produced in 2002? I started thinking about it and I am a little curious as to who can answer this question.

I'm pretty sure GM owns it, although I'm not 100% on that.

Funny reading that article now. Wow was he way off! LOL. At least the procedes went to charity.

I remember that car being sold. As soon as I saw the thread I knew it was a red Z28 that sold for $60-$70k.

I think they even had an article about the car in autoweek at the time.

Damn, that guys gotta be pissed that they're re-introducing the Camaro! I'm sure it's worth a good deal more than a regular Z, but I don't know anyone that'd pay 70K for that now.

I'm pretty sure GM owns the last Bird. I see it at the Trans Am Nationals every year. Here are some pics. I don't have any full shots that I can find. It's a Red 2002 Regular Trans Am Convertible. Still has the plastic on the steering wheel and tag hanging on the radio and sticker in window.

That'd be sweet to own, but not worth 70k.

GM owns the last TA, like the other poster said. Non-WS6 Trans Am convertable. It shows up at various Pontiac/GM shows over the country. Still in undelivered condition, plastic on seats/wheel, tags everywhere, etc. Time capsule, and I'm sure it'll never be sold and remain so forever. At least we can hope.

I've argued that before, but since it was just a concept you could go either way. I'm glad you brought it up It was at the 2003 Trans Am Nationals.

That would definitely be sweet to own, but I could not see spending 70k on it.

i would. to have the LAST Camaro ever produced in the 1966-2002 36 year production run.....yeah i would.
if i could i would give another 70K to have the last 'bird in undelivered condition. i would build a special climate controlled garage for the Camaro and T/A and make a shrine out of it. can you imagine how sweet it would be to have the first Camaro and the first Firebird and the Last Camaro and the last T/A?

Are you referring to the Heritage T/A as the 2003 Trans Am?

well september of 1966 the new camaro did roll of the assembly lines, but were known as 1967 models. so 67-2002= 34 years. 67 was also know for the stripe that goes around the nose.

I must have missed the Camaro part in the thread title, I was thinking strictly for the Bird. Good info though!
