Default Who would buy a modern El Camino these days

http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=holden+ute

So most of us are aware that these have been in AU. Does anyone around here think that it would make any sales in the U.S. these days. Would anyone in here admit to being interested in one?
I think it's at least worth a look at.

I think no matter what you put an LS2 engine in people would drive it.

Hell, if they made Hyundai Accents with LS2's I'd sport one !

Oh yes, the famous "truck car". The El-Caminos were great all right. How many cars let you go cruisin' for chicks while hauling a load of firewood?

I'm digging them! I don't understand why GM came up with a design for the SSR when they could have just made a US version "Ute" and brought it over here. If I needed a truck bed I would seriosly consider one.

they are awesome. immagine a GTO with a truck bed and you only pay truck insurance instead of car.. think how many GTO owners use their back seat... think how many more would use the trunk if it was 6 feet long lol
