Default What's the Story on This Intake?

What's the story on these intakes? Are they on the general market yet? If so, who makes them and how much? What heads, LS1/LS6? Fit under F-body cowl? what would it take to run them?

Thanks!

By the way, this is an ITB intake. Info here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...&highlight=ITB

The Harrop intake show about a 40 hp gain over a FAST intake especially in the midrange. Also on any ITB intake you have the option to "tune" runner length.

Why would I want a velocity stack ITB intake? You need to use the search button.

did you ever think someone might like this for an lsx swap car. I would never put that on my T/A, but still keep an open mind about these things for other setup's and lay off the guy who started this thread. plus I would like to know more about this setup myself. (for a swap car)

That would be pretty neat for a swap project, some old pickup or rat rod with a new design on the old hilborn injection for an ls1. I like it!

I like the retro, but I think the stack height might be prohibitive to any hood. Break out the SawzAll...

Not just that, you would also need some sort of filtration/plenum filter on anything other than a 1/4 mile or show/trailer queen car. These things can also be a tuning nightmare, but, when you do dial them in right, they are sweet!!

Well, Ls1CamaroGuy87, 'noob' can be determined by more than just your post count...

Anyways, I think that intake looks badass and would like to know more about it as well.

what gives you the right to act like a moderator and be an ***? if you dont like his post dont respond to it, or better yet let the moderators do their job and take care of it.

but as far as it fitting under the f-body cowl i think not the engine sits half way under the cowl as it is but would be sweet as a ls1 swap for a roadster

Apology accepted.

Anyway, if anyone cares, I'm not interested in learning more about ITB intakes in this thread, or in how this intake looks. There are plenty of threads about ITB intakes (and those who have been reading this forum for years would know this), and some really good info about them. I want to know if this intake is on the market and if so, who sells it.

I can find out by asking the company that owns the engine in the bottom pic, I just thought I'd post up here to get a quick reply.

Is there a "shoot self in head" smily?
